Girl group Little Mix have reportedly begged Tulisa Contostavlos to duet with them on the UK X Factor. The band supposedly want their mentor to perform with them at London’s Wembley Arena if they make the final on December 10. Speaking about the N-Dubz star, Little Mix member Jesy Nelson told British newspaper The Sun: “She is so passionate about us. We’re so close to her and I just love her to pieces.” While Little Mix might be dreaming of making the final, Tulisa has revealed that boss Simon Cowell is backing the group to win the show. The 23-year old told The Mirror: “Simon rang me at home one night to chat about the show, telling me things he wanted me to work on to keep the programme as fresh as possible and things he liked, which was nice to hear...Read More

Music mogul Simon Cowell has told former X Factor contestant Frankie Cocozza he’s ‘blown a wonderful opportunity’. The 18-year-old from Brighton was recently kicked off the show and a statement said he had broken a ‘golden rule’ of the competition and would no longer be competing. Several reports claimed his exit was due to Cocozza taking drugs although nothing has yet been confirmed. Cowell told UK newspaper The Sun: “Frankie’s blown a wonderful opportunity. Jason Derulo and Leona Lewis both took their turns gracing the X Factor stage, just in different countries. Jason went to X Factor Australia where the R&B/pop singer performed his latest singles “It Girl” and “Don’t Wanna Go Home”. Vocals aside, I say he killed it. As for Leona, the British pop star went to X Factor Germany to perform her 2008 single “Run”. No, it’s not an old video, it really is a recent performance. She did a flawless job but I just don’t get why she decided to perform a 3-year old song. She’s just not giving her Aviici collaboration a chance!

Jennifer Lopez wasn’t the only diva to take the stage on the French X Factor last night as princess of pop Lady Gaga also had a turn. The “Born This Way” singer treated the audience with an excellent performance of her single “Edge of Glory” and “Judas”. The always flamboyant entertainer surprised everyone by performing in her underwear and also debuted her brand new long green hair. I wonder how long she plans to keep it or if she’s going to change it every now and then like Nicki Minaj. Interesting thought, no? First Lady Gaga comes out with blue hair like Katy Perry and now this.

X Factor alum Cher Lloyd has chosen the song “Swagger Jagger” as the lead single from her upcoming debut album, which is set to be released later this year. The track was allegedly produced by The Runners and is definitely an interesting little record. I’m quite curious as to how the UK will receive it. I think it’s pretty all over the place with a mix of Pitbull rapping, Gwen Stefani’s “Hollaback Girl” swagger, Swedish House Mafia trance beats and a bit of Soulja Boy attitude. And let’s not forgot the sample of “Oh My Darling Clementine” in the hooks.

Cher Lloyd is currently hard at work on her debut album and according to sources close to the production, the X Factor contestant will be featuring none other than veteran rapper Busta Rhymes on one of its tracks. A label spokesperson has more or less confirmed the news, saying “We are exploring exciting collaborations.” It certainly seems that way. Here’s to hoping that the song will be a smash for them. Cher needs to come out with an exciting track to keep the fans’ attention on her. I can’t wait to hear the music she comes up with? Release something already!Read More

Cher Lloyd, a finalist from UK’s reality TV singing competition X Factor, is rumored to have signed with Jay-Z’s record label Roc Nation. Black Eyed Peas front man will.i.am, who performed with Cher on the show’s finals and has reportedly already recorded a song with her, previously said that he would sign her to his label but I guess he didn’t close the deal. A source tells UK’s The Sun “Even though Cher didn’t do terrifically well in the X Factor finals, there’s been a hell of a lot of interest in her. Will.i.am’s backing only intensified the battle to get her signature. After weighing up the pros and cons, it was thought that the team at Roc Nation would be best placed to turn her dreams of stardom into a reality.”Read More
It was recently announced that Simon Cowell will be leaving American Idol after this season and moving on to his next project, X Factor. Now, the snarky judge is speaking out about the kind of shocking, kind of not announcement saying “I’ve been doing this for nine years and it’s been a blast” but he felt that it was time to move on and focus his attention on one main show. Simon even got a little bit emotional as he said “It did feel a little bit emotional when I [made the announcement] because then it’s real… and then you remember all the good times you had.”Read More
