Peaches is No Superstar
Electronic rapper Peaches had planned a very special concert where she would be performing the music of the musical ‘Jesus Christ: Superstar’ as a one woman show in Berlin. However, the German right holders to Andrew Lloyd Webber’s shows refused to give her permission to perform the music. Peaches went on her Twitter to talk about the project saying “[They] claim that this project is of no interest to them due to its unconventional form. It’s a shame that the authorities feel threatened by this fresh approach. I know a lot of people who really love the music and would appreciate this stripped-down solo performance. I have so much respect for the music and lyrics from the original score and this was my way of honouring that.”

Leona Lewis recently attended the Brit Awards which were held at Earls Court in London this past Tuesday. It should be interesting to note that the 24-year old singer, who happens to be a strict vegetarian, made a special request at the ceremony. Leona went on her Twitter to talk about it, saying “I was outraged 2 hear that the Brit Awards were planning 2 serve foie-gras at the ceremony. They hav now removed it from the menu,well done! In case you didn’t know, foie gras is duck that is forced fed in a sickening cruel process and is banned in the U.K.”

Bow Wow may have partied it up in Miami on New Years with bad boys Chris Brown and Akon but it was the younger rapper’s turn to commit the crime. And being the douche bag that he was, Bow Wow actually went on Twitter with the details! He said “Face numb im whippin the lambo. Tispy as f*k. Just left @livmiami. Im f**ked up!!! Ohhhh damn. Y i drive the lambo. Chris might have to drive after next spot.” Lucky for him, tweet aren’t enough to make an arrest. Bow Wow has since taken down his questionable posts and responded with “Apologize for that tweet. it was stupid and immature. not a way i want to kick my #2010 year off. i got too much good stuff lined up. my bad.”

The 29-year old spoke of connecting with fans, saying “I always reach out to my fans. When I first came out, I had my own website and I would do an update. A lot of people weren’t doing that. Some were, but not a whole lot. It was more like posting a paragraph about what’s going on. And now with Twitter and everything, it’s just like a constant influx of information from everyone, you know? I do have a Twitter account and I definitely do use it.”

After the disturbing twitter messages and the brake he finally took with the permission of his managers, it seems Chipmunk is back on track as he recently performed live during Rihanna’s latest appearance in London. Chipmunk said the following about coming back to the stage: “I’m on a trip back to normality. I’m in good health and it’s all good. Things got a bit crazy and I needed to take a break to sort my head out but I feel better already.” Right, and getting the chance to open for Rihanna’s performance had nothing to do with it, right? He’s a smart one, that Chipmunk!
Lil Wayne and Drake’s Manager Gets Posed
According to Bryant Management, someone is trying to pass themselves off as CEO Cortez Bryant, the manager for artists Lil Wayne and Drake. The company, who are already working to find the imposter, says “It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed-about recording artist Drake.” The poser has used a fake Twitter account which he uses to secure and pocket deposits for fake bookings and appearances. Fake appearances huh? Maybe Lil Wayne can use that as his excuse for not showing up to his shows. Everyone knows that the rapper needs a good one.

The singer tweeted “Luv having the freedom to create beautiful music, so I’m pushing the album back to DEC 15th. So many more amazing songs!!! Pls RT.” Who is she trying to kid? Getting an album pushed back doesn’t exactly scream good news to any music fan or artist for that matter. I guess we will get some hastily put together music two weeks later because we all know what getting pushed back really means – it’s code for your album absolutely sucks!

Chris Brown is taking a break from his busy, court ordered hard labor schedule to go on a concert tour for whatever miniscule number remains of his fans. Why? The R&B singer recently posted on his Twitter saying “BOUT TO START A SMALL TOUR SOON.. 15 TO 20 DATES.. MY FAN APPRECIATION TOUR. just for yall.nothin bigger than 4,ooo seater.” He might as well also expect that there will only be 15 to 20 people attending each concert date and I’m not even counting the ones who will repeatedly be at the shows because they’re stalkers or groupies like that.

Tila has egged on the With You singer to have a fight via the pairs Twitter pages and now Chris, 20, has responded.
Brown tweeted: “NOT TRYNA BE RUDE but i keep hearing tila bringing my name up. ur 15 seconds of fame has ended. dont try to gain fans by dissing me. godbless.”
Tequila, 27, has mentioned Brown several times on her Twitter page in the hope of getting a reaction.

MIA is pissed. The singer is scheduled to perform at the Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival, taking place in San Francisco on August 30th. However, she only booked the show because she thought the Beastie Boys would be performing too. The Beasties have cancelled all tour dates due to MCA’s cancer recovery so Jack Black and Kyle Gass stepped up to the plate, taking the Beasties’ place at the festival with a Tenacious D performance. Needless to say, MIA is not happy with the line up change. MIA wrote on her Twitter saying “I ORIGINALLY BOOKED ON SHOWS COZ BEASTIES WERE HEADLINERS , BUT NOW THEY AINT DOING IT AND I JUS WANNA SAY , WE HAVE TO GO HARD!!! CANT BELIEVE THEY REPLACED BEASTIES WITH TENACIOUS D ??????????????????????AND IF I PULL OUT THEY SUE! SO REALLY? TENACIOUS D AFTER ME ?” I think she’s being insensitive.

Mariah Carey was noticeably choked up when she performed the Jackson 5 hit ‘I’ll Be There’ at the Michael Jackson public memorial service which was held at the Staples Center in LA this past Tuesday. She posted an explanation on her Twitter about her performance saying “Just recovering from the day. Still filled w/sadness as we listen to KJLH in LA (Stevie Wonder’s radio station) paying tribute to MJ. Trying to sing today was basically impossible for me. I could barely keep myself from crying. I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to pull it together and really do it right, but I was literally choked up when I saw him there in front of me. One thing I know is, we will never really have to say goodbye to MJ. His legacy lives on through his music and the millions of people. He inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts.”

Celebrities took to Twitter to relive their experiences of Michael Jackson’s memorial – with some stars even tweeting from inside the event, which was held at the Staples Centre venue in LA.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs tweeted from inside the ceremony: “I’m at the memorial. RIP Michael Jackson.”
He later added: “Just left funeral. Very sad! RIP MJ!”
Mariah Carey’s husband, Nick Cannon, also wrote his tweet from inside, saying: “A day of mourning. Here in the Staples Centre, God is absolutely present.”
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian wrote: “Kourtney, Khloe, my mum and I just left the memorial. Everyone had such amazing memories of MJ. We all cried and laughed and remembered!
“Michael’s children were so brave to stand there on stage and speak to the world about their father.”
Other celebrities, including Paris Hilton, Kevin Jonas, and Kelly Osbourne wrote about being moved by the memorial as they watched it on TV. Pamela Anderson said: “I’m starting with the woman in the mirror. Bless you Michael. You made the world a better place. Rest in Peace. P x.”

Kanye West is an avid blogger but he’s not buying into the whole Twitter fad. The rapper recently took to his official site to tell everyone that the Kanye West on Twitter is a fake. Kanye wrote “(This spaz comes courtesy of losers making fake Kanye West Twitter accounts) I DON’T HAVE A FUCKING TWITTER… WHY WOULD I USE TWITTER??? I ONLY BLOG 5 PERCENT OF WHAT I’M UP TO IN THE FIRST PLACE.
