Beyonce and Kings of Leon Collaboration

After winning six Grammy awards last week, Beyonce reportedly approached rock band Kings of Leon and suggested that they collaborate on a track. A source said “Beyonce looked stunning and was chatting to virtually every major star on hand. She kissed Kings of Leon on their cheeks and congratulated them on winning an award for ‘Use Somebody’. They were chatting for ages. She knows how huge they are in the UK and loves their album. She was scouting for people to collaborate with and has been talking about doing something different with a rock band. Kings of Leon would be perfect.”

Michael Jackson’s dream come true

Well, as the ancients said: better late than never. This must also be true for Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch which is finally going to be turned into a theme park. This is what the operations agent said about the endeavor: “We will begin construction of the facilities this year. We have set aside a specific date, tied to a special Jackson event, for the ground breaking.” Well, too bad Michael Jackson isn’t around to see this anymore, but Joe Jackson will probably made sure that all respects to the spiritual owner of this new theme park will be paid… in full.

A-Trak not part of new Madonna album

It seems that the rumors circulating about that DJ A-Trak will be part of the producing team on Madonna’s new album are false. This is what A-Trak said on the matter: “Those Madonna rumors started from a joke my boy DJ Mehdi made in an interview. Then it spread to Madonna fan-sites. Then the Daily Star fabricated a quote from me. Next thing you know it was on NME and MTV. I’m not opposed to the idea, but it’s all fiction for now. By the way, DJ Mehdi is producing the next Britney record.” Oh, poppy cakes! A-Trak probably just got fired by Madonna and it’s all been covered up. No true subject of Madonna releases news without being 100% sure of them.

Madonna’s quiet dinner

While Jesus Luz is probably out touring the world, Madonna apparently chose to have a nice quiet dinner. And who better to do something like that with than her first husband, Sean Penn? It seems that this nice and quiet dinner went well on for about three hours, but of course, nobody knows exactly what they talked about. It couldn’t have been getting back together… after all, Sean Penn is probably not too keen on getting into all of the action with Madonna’s children and moreover, how could he ever replace the boy-toy, Jesus Luz? There’s no competition there.

Rolling Stone Member Busted

Rolling Stones band member Ron Wood was arrested last week for allegedly assaulting his 21-year old girlfriend. The 62-year old rock star was taken by police and held overnight in jail until he made bail the next morning. If you do the math, he and his girlfriend has a 41 year age difference. Geeze, he could pass as the girl’s freaking grandfather already! I’m surprised that he didn’t break a hip. Let’s get real people, the dude belongs in the Jurassic era. I just hope that his girlfriend is ok. Maybe we’ll get more details if the girl decides to file a lawsuit or something.

Amerie Talks New Album

The artwork for Amerie’s new album ‘In Love & War’ has just been revealed and the singer is looking hot on it! The 29-year old hip hop singer talked about the evolution of her music style saying “My first album was very hip-hop/R&B. My second album had more up-tempo songs on there as well as being hip-hop/Soul. My third album was very hip-hop/soul/80’snew wave, which a lot of people loved. And this one is hip-hop/soul/rock!” Amerie’s new album will be coming out on November 3rd. If her first single ‘Heard Em All’ is anything to go by, her album would be a great buy.

The All-American Rejects Rock New York City

The All-American Rejects got busy in New York City this week starting off with a special performance of their hit single “Gives You Hell.”
They took the stage with house band Wale at MTV’s VMAs show where front man Tyson Ritter debuted a new glittery look. After rocking the proverbial house, Ritter caught up with MTV news
and confirmed the long standing rumor that he will in fact be teaming up with pop powerhouse Rihanna for a yet to be recorded track. With AAR’s stock rising by the day, it only made sense for the quartet to cap their week by ringing the opening bell for the New York Stock Exchange
The All-American Rejects’ album When The World Comes Down featuring “Gives You Hell” and “I Wanna” is in stores now. For more information visit allamericanrejects.com

Aerosmith forced to cancel summer tour after lead singer is hospitalised

Aerosmith have been forced to cancel their summer tour because of injuries sustained by frontman Steven Tyler.

The veteran rocker was hospitalised on 5 August, after tumbling off-stage during a show in South Dakota.

Tyler, 61, was left with a broken shoulder and needed 20 stitches to a head wound.

“Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this tour,” guitarist Joe Perry said in a statement.

Perry thanked the band’s fans and insisted they hoped to “get the Aerosmith machine up and running again as soon as possible”.

Tyler injured himself after thunderstorms delayed the show in the city of Sturgis by more than an hour.

It was the fourth time in Tyler’s long career that the singer has fallen from the stage.

Led Zeppelin and ABBA Take Michael Jackson’s Place

Could a tribute show and ABBA be able to replace Michael Jackson’s 50-date residency at London’s O2 Arena? What about a tribute show, ABBA and rock legends Led Zeppelin? The word is that AEG Live has offered both Led Zeppelin and ABBA a lot of money to play alternating nights at the arena in place of the late King of Pop. A source said “Only Michael Jackson could sell out 50 nights at such a big arena, but Led Zeppelin and Abba combined might just rival him. There is huge money on the table.” Money really talks the language of a lot of people.

Global love for Michael Jackson

According to Spike Lee the late pop legend was loved and revered by the entire world. Spike Lee said the following about the love for Michael Jackson: “I’m not trying to disrespect anybody, Elvis or Frank Sinatra, but what Michael did globally – there wasn’t anybody in the world who did not love Michael Jackson.” Yeah, Spike Lee is right… not even to Columbian jungle rebels could deny they had love for Michael Jackson. Or what about the indigenous peoples of Australia or Africa… they surely feel a lasting loss now that Michael Jackson has passed away into the other worlds.

Paul McCartney fed up with being a Beatle

The former member of the famous sixties band has recently admitted that he does sometimes tire of being who he is. Sounds like it makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it? Well, this is what Paul McCarthy said: “You get fed up being him. You’re always that guy. If I was Bruce Springsteen, I might get fed up being Bruce Springsteen. I might want to be the kid I was growing up, when I didn’t have that image to live up to.” There’s an image to live up to when being a Beatle? And what image might that be? Maybe Paul McCartney can enlighten us unto the difficult workings of being famous and having to live up to a certain reputation… then maybe he can teach the others a lesson because I don’t think everybody shares his views.

Queen Latifah’s New Music

Queen Latifah is about to release some new music soon. The rapper has actually released her first new single and has also performed it on American Idol. Surprisingly enough, there’s no rap! Not only is Latifah just straight-up singing on her new song, but the song also has a definite rock vibe. The song is called ‘Cue the Rain’ and I think it’s an amazing song for her. Congratulations to her for making a smooth crossover to a different genre! I can’t wait to hear more of her new sound! I wonder when her new album is going to get released.

No Green Day at Wal-Mart

If you are yet to avail of Green Day’s new album ‘21st Century Breakdown’, go get your copy now. But don’t expect to get it at the low prices of Wal-Mart. The band refuses to let the superstore distribute the album because they were asked to provide a censored version. Front man Billie Joe Armstrong said in an interview “They want artists to censor their records in order to be carried in there. We just said no. We’ve never done it before. You feel like you’re in 1953 or something.” Guitarist Mike Dirnt added “As the biggest record store in the America, they should probably have an obligation to sell people the correct art.” Wal-Mart has a policy to not stock any CD with a parental advisory sticker. It seems foolish to lose business over something that could and should be moderated. It’s not that hard to ask for ID before selling a kid something considered “adult content”.

Katy Perry loves romper suits

The singer admitted recently to being a big fan of romper suits which she usually likes wearing in private. Katy Perry said: “At home, I sit around in a zebra-print romper suit from H+M. Rompers are very me. They’re super easy to run around in. With anything you wear, it’s about having confidence.” That’s true… it’s all about confidence. That must be why Katy Perry always wears rompers at home. And after all, it’s usually there that you have to do a lot of running around. Or maybe deep down inside Katy Perry is just trying to relive the best part of her childhood: being a baby.

Michael Jackson’s tour in peril yet again

The famous pop star’s tour seems to again be under the question mark since new info has recently surfaced that may prevent Michael Jackson from performing his long awaited tour. It seems that his manager has signed a contract that prevents Michael Jackson from performing for eighteen months. This contract was signed with AllGood Entertainment whose CEO had this to say: “We have a non-compete clause. Prior to our show, Michael cannot perform anywhere in the world.” Well now… this is indeed a predicament. Of course, an obvious solution would be for Michael Jackson to hold his show on the Moon… after all, there has been all talk and no action about colonizing outer space. It’s time to get serious about it!
