Snoop Dogg wants to step into Oprah’s shoes
Nov 27, 2009 Oprah, Snoop Dogg
After the tragic development of Oprah giving up her lifelong profession of making the world a better place with her talk show, it seems Snoop Dogg wants to step in and take charge of this massive responsibility. Here’s what Snoop Dogg said on the matter: “I’m trying to proposition the networks right now. If you’re wanting a nice, black, exciting young male who wants to turn the TV world right up – get at me. I heard Oprah Winfrey is leaving and there’s nobody who can do what Oprah did but, ahem – hello! Hello!” A nice, black, exciting young male? It sounds more like Snoop Dogg’s auditioning for a strip show, rather than Oprah’s old show. What’s the world of rap coming to anyway?

Oprah felt Jacko was ‘profoundly lonely’
Sep 17, 2009 Michael Jackson, Oprah

Oprah Winfrey said she believed Michael Jackson was “profoundly lonely” as she remembered interviewing the King of Pop in 1993.
In the interview that re-aired on The Oprah Show on Wednesday, Jackson opened up about everything from his plastic surgery, the abuse he allegedly suffered from his father Joe, his love interests and his purpose in life.
“My purpose, I think, is to give in the best way I can,” Jackson told Oprah, before he went on to talk about his love for music and performing.
“I was surprised he was willing to go that far,” Oprah said of the interview. “I see now how profoundly lonely he was.
“I heard and sensed it then but I didn’t feel how lonely he was.”
Oprah also recalled feeling Jackson’s “sense of fear and sadness” when he was talking about his childhood.
One of the last questions Oprah asked Jackson in the interview was how he would like to be perceived. Jackson answered: “I just simply want to be loved wherever I go.”
Jackson died at the age of 50 in June in Los Angeles after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Oprah Winfrey loves scent of new best friend Jay-Z
Oprah Winfrey was in a lather over Jay-Z.
Winfrey gushed about the rapper in a recent radio call. “Jay-Z is my new best friend!” she said while giving an interview to her best friend Gayle King.
“He was so charming and delightful — and he smelled so good,” the talk show queen said.
“It’s the kind of thing where you hug a guy and the scent is sort of buried in them. When we went to the second location I could still smell him on me. It was like, ‘Oh my, this is wonderful!’”
Hip-hop artist Jay-Z is also a perfumer who has produced a scent called Rocawear 9 IX to be launched next month.
