Supermodel Miranda Kerr has revealed her 11-month-old son loves hip-hop music. Kerr, who had her first baby Flynn with actor husband Orlando Bloom in January, encourages her son to listen to music and dance along. “He loves hip-hop,” she told US talk show host Chelsea Lately. “When I had him in my stomach, I’d play music and sometimes I’d put on hip-hop and dance around. So now, I put hip-hop on and he shakes his head – pretty funny.” The 28-year-old also revealed more details about her childbirth, saying Bloom wanted her to have an epidural but she was adamant about giving birth naturally. “I was so determined to have a natural childbirth. Now I can much more easily handle a paper cut,” she joked.
Beyonce’s highly anticipated music video for her new single “Party” has finally been premiered on BET’s 106th & Park show. The Kanye West-produced track is the latest offering from the R&B/pop singer’s platinum selling album “4”. For the video, Beyonce’s song features the official remix with J Cole. The Roc Nation rapper is also present in the backyard fiesta visual, alongside Kelly Rowland and Solange. I love it. It’s a very simple clip but it fits the song perfectly. I think it captured the flow and the vibe of the song and, as usual, Beyonce looks stunning. What do you think?

50 Cent wrote a book for young adults. Who knew? The rapper/fiction writer’s latest work “Playground” takes a look at school bullying from the bully’s perspective. The book is aimed for kids ages 13-15. 50 Cent realizes that his music appeals to the type of kids that are bullies and he hopes that writing this book for them to read will persuade them to change. He said “When I present something it’s different because of the energy and material I created in my music. A lot of the times the kids that would actually be a part of the problem are listening. When I offer it, they’ll take the time to stop and read it.”
BoB has recently premiered the music video for his song “Epic”. The street record, which features Playboy Tre and Meek Mill, is a new offering from the Atlanta rapper’s new record “Strange Clouds”. All three MCs have a go for exchanging fierce lyrical raps in the song. As for the video, which was directed by Motion Family, it sees all three performing each of their verses in the middle of a boxing ring, against a locker with a girl in a bikini holding up round cards. It’s pretty basic and some may say cheap but the simplicity of it takes nothing away from the song.

Chris Brown sports a werewolf mask and vampire fans in the “music video” for his recently released freestyle remix of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s latest single “Niggas in Paris”, where the R&B singer recruited the help of his “Kiss Kiss” collaborator T-Pain to do the auto tuned backup vocals. This re-recorded version of the “Watch the Throne” album track has been released by Chris as an early Halloween treat for his fans. And going with the Halloween spirit, Chris decided to pull out the 2-minute video with psychedelic lights, masks, fangs and a creepy orange sunset landscape. What do you think?

Beyonce is featured on the cover of the November 2011 issue of Harper’s Bazaar, which hits newsstands on October 25. The 30-year old R&B singer spoke about pregnancy and motherhood with the magazine, saying “It was important to me that I gave myself time to focus on becoming the woman I want to be, building my empire, my relationship, and my self-worth, before I became a mother. Now God has blessed us with the ultimate.” Beyonce also talked about her relationship with hubby Jay-Z, saying “We have been together since I was 20 years old. We took our time and developed an unbreakable friendship before we got married. I admire his ability to inspire others. To me, Jay represents the American dream. Jay’s music has helped define our generation. All that he has overcome and worked to achieve gives millions hope that they can become whatever they want to be. I respect him so much; he is a great man and a great artist.”

T-Pain has recently premiered the music video for his new single “5 O’Clock” via VEVO. The track comes off of the hip hop artist’s upcoming fourth album “rEVOLVEr”. The song recently hit US radios and is performing quite nicely. I think it has the potential to be the hit T-Pain has been looking for. It’s a laidback auto-tune mid-tempo song which features verses from Wiz Khalifa and samples an extract from Lily Allen’s “Who’d Have Known” for the chorus. As for the video, it’s okay. T-Pain and Wiz Khalifa went to Amsterdam and are seen walking through the city at night and visiting the infamous Red Light District. I was hoping for a cameo from Lily though.

Drake has recently premiered the official music video for his new single “Headlines”. The track serves as the first official release off of his forthcoming sophomore studio album “Take Care”, which is due out in stores on October 24th. The song has managed to crack the top 20 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and is staying strong within the top 30 on iTunes USA. With the video out, his upcoming scheduled promo and the great single, I have no doubt that it’ll be a new top 10 hit. As for the video, it follows the rapper spitting his verses throughout the different locations in his hometown of Toronto. It’s pretty sleek. Drake’s pals Y-Minus, Noah “40” Shebib, The Weeknd, Boi-1da and Kromatik make cameos in the video.

Timbaland recently released the music video for his song “Pass at Me”. The song, which features rapper Pitbull, is a new dance number from the 39-year old producer and songwriter. Timbaland recently spoke about the song, saying that he was inspired by Lou Bega’s track “Mambo No. 5”. He described the song as “It’s not sterile. A lot of dance music out there is too clean – this one is [all about] bass hits and it makes you move!” As for the video, it’s that regular hip hop and dance video where you see a lot of hot girls shaking their thing, yachts, mansions, beaches and pools.

Growing up around and being one of the rappers to make rap music about issues that matter, Ice T is disappointed with the direction that most hip hop artists are taking their music. In a recent interview, the veteran rapper said “I want to see some little motherf**kers get together like a Public Enemy and give these fools a wake up call like, ‘F**k this jewelry and cars bulls**t,’ and bring it back to Armageddon! Don’t get it twisted – the people that are making music now, I’m not mad at them. People think I’m mad at pop music [but] I’m not. I’m just saying the conscious music is lacking. There’s no roots… Where are those kids that are gonna come out and really push the envelope? N.W.A did F**k tha Police, we were going hard, we were getting arrested. Now everybody is trying to stay in their nice little safe bubble and I miss the edgy music. That’s all I’m saying. Saying you sell drugs, that’s not edgy to me, let’s talk about some issues. Lupe Fiasco. Lupe Fiasco does it. I’ve listened to some of his stuff. He’s not afraid…” I actually agree with him on this one.
