Ice Cube is coming back
It’s official and it’s coming straight from his blog: the rapper is returning to music with a new studio album. This is what Ice Cube wrote on his imminent return: “I Am The West’ is the name of my new record. After completing about 65 per cent of my music, this is the new perfect title. This shit is cocky, no apologies, West Coast gangsta shit. I can’t help it. That’s what I do… June seems too tight for a release, but July is very doable. We’ll see how things go. Now that I have my title, I can work on the concept of my photoshoot and artwork. I want to provide.” Coming back in full force, no doubt… acting must’ve been really slow lately. Ice Cube has to give the fans what they want, doesn’t he? Hopefully the good old “gangsta rap” hasn’t died out in their blood since his last musical opus.

Rapper 50 Cent wants to star in a romantic comedy.
The hip-hop artist says he is considering trading his tough-guy image for a softer persona – by appearing in a feature film as a Hugh Grant-style role.
He said: “It would be interesting for people to see that side of me,” he says. “It would be a challenge, but I’ve seen artists like Ice Cube [who went from rap to acting] make the transition and challenge themselves.”
The In Da Club musician, real name Curtis Jackson, said: “It’s easier if a woman accepts you as a manly man.
“But a softer moment works, too, because then she’ll suddenly see you as a romantic.”
