Usher’s latest CD was scheduled for release on Super Bowl Sunday but it has now been pushed back to March 30. Jive Records is refusing to release the R&B singer’s new album until he signs with new management. His former manager and mother Jonetta Patton are walked away back in November 2009. A source said “She walked away from the project because Usher had his girlfriend [and former Def Jam executive] Grace Miguel all in the mix. She [Jonetta] felt as though if she didn’t end things when she did, it would permanently affect their personal relationship.” Things could start to look up for Usher though as it is being rumored that he is going to sign with AEG Live CEO Randy Phillips.

Usher is Next Michael Jackson

No one could ever fill the shoes of Michael Jackson as the King of Pop in my eyes but Jay-Z seems to think differently. The rapper has already made his nomination for the late singer’s successor – Usher. Jay-Z claims that the R&B crooner has the potential to be the next global superstar, based off the tribute that he did to Michael during the Grammys. The rapper said “I thought the Michael Jackson tribute was fantastic and I thought Usher was doing a magnificent job. I think he’s one of the guys that’s in line to, you know, fill those huge shoes. I don’t wanna put that pressure on him, but I think he’s one of the guys that’s in line to do that.” I couldn’t agree less!

Usher robbed before Christmas

It seems the singer had a little run-in with some people that weren’t exactly high on the holiday spirit as Usher is now claiming that his car was broken into and Christmas presents were stolen along with his computer. Actually, what really concerns Usher is the fact that there were unreleased voice tracks on that particular computer. The words “oopsy!” probably springs to mind right about now. Maybe the thief will do something original and actually ask Usher to pay ransom for those tracks… that would be something new. Not like the million dollars worth of jewelry that was stolen wouldn’t have sufficed for a very Merry Christmas.
Usher’s Album Leaks

After a good long while, Usher actually has some new music coming out. However, just like Lil Wayne’s ‘Rebirth’ Usher’s upcoming ‘Raymond VS Raymond’ has been leaked and has appeared on the internet this past week. There’s been many changes to the album’s release date which was originally scheduled for an early 2010 release, later changed to December 21st, and now back at TBD status. The release date is also different on various websites with Best Buy, Tower and FYE among others having a pre-order for the album’s release on February 16 while Walmart.com is for February 2 and Amazon is for March 1. Mind you, it doesn’t show up on iTunes at all. It sounds like the singer’s camp needs to get their stuff together.

Custody Battle Reason Behind Usher’s Ex’s Attack
It was reported earlier this week that Usher’s soon-to-be ex-wife Tameka Foster vandalized his vehicle, then took off before the police arrived. It’s now being said that Tameka was taking her anger out on the R&B singer’s truck because of their heated custody dispute and that she didn’t do that much damage. Supposedly, Usher told police that he had a verbal argument with her over who would get weekend custody of the children. The following morning, Usher found several scratches to his truck and called the cops again saying that he believed that Tameka did that to his car in retaliation for their fight. In the police report, cops who inspected the car claim that “hey found no evidence to support Usher’s accusation” and that there was no record of Tameka even entering Usher’s private neighborhood.

Although Usher just released his new single ‘Papers’ which chronicles his divorce from Tameka Foster, he’s not too quick to sign the real papers. The singer has delayed signing the final documents he filed in an Atlanta court, thereby holding up their divorce process. The lyrics to the song go “I done near lost my mama/ I done been through so much drama / I done turned into the man that I never thought I’d be / I’m ready to sign those papers!” A source said “Tameka thinks that it’s ironic that ‘Papers’ is his comeback single when she just wants him to sign the paperwork and finalize the divorce. The terms and conditions have been agreed on for around a month but he keeps stalling on them and she’s the one that wants to move on with her life.”
Usher Finds a New Cougar

Now that his marriage is officially over, Usher has found himself a new cougar to pounce on. In Touch Weekly is reporting that the singer has found himself a new lady love 12 years his senior and has been dating her for the last six months. Her name is Grace Miguel and she’s a music executive. A close friend reveals that Usher thinks that she is brilliant and that he “loves the fact that she’s creative, has her own career and doesn’t appear to want anything from him other than companionship. He’s madly in love.” The source is also saying that it was Usher’s feelings for Grace that finally pushed him to end his marriage.

Usher Divorce Getting Nasty

Usher is demanding every document that his soon-to-be ex-wife Tameka Foster collected during their 11-month marriage. While most of us thought they were married for 2 years, legal documents say that the couple has been separated since July 2008. Usher is asking for a list of “tax files, paycheck stubs, bank account information and other financial records, insurance policies, real-estate rental agreements, medical records and automobile registrations” plus loads more from Tameka. The R&B singer thought that Tameka hired a private investigator as he is also demanding “notes, cards, letters, photographs, film, documents, tapes, voice recordings, gift, jewelry, clothes… detective reports, photos or recordings that have resulted from either ’surveillance or investigation’” from her. Their divorce is getting nasty. It’s a good thing both parties requested joint custody of their sons.

R&B singer Usher has filed for divorce from wife Tameka Foster after less than two years of marriage.
The pair tied the knot in a glitzy wedding at a Georgia resort in August 2007.
But Usher – real name Usher Raymond IV – reportedly called it quits by filing papers in Atlanta Superior Court. No details about the split have been made public.
Confessions singer Usher, 30, has two young sons with Foster – one-year-old Usher Raymond V and six-month-old Naviyd Ely Raymond.
Foster, who recently had a major health scare following complications during cosmetic surgery, also has three children from a previous marriage.

Usher’s statement to Chris Brown

The singer thinks his fellow performer should show a bit of remorse about what he supposedly did to Rihanna after they had their argument in Chris Brown’s car. Usher had this to say after he saw pictures of Chris Brown on a jet ski in Miami, a short time after the incident: “I’m a little disappointed in this. After the other photo? C’mon, Chris. Have a little bit of remorse, man. The man is on a jet ski? Like, just relaxing in Miami?” Pretty bold of Usher to judge Chris Brown only from a few pictures… why does he expect remorse anyway? It was self defense! Chris Brown is the one who got attacked, or so they say. Did Usher miss this small detail?

Usher Wants Your Money
Usher is one person who isn’t afraid to tell you to your face that he will take money from our screwed up banking system. At least as long as the cash flow goes to his non-profit organization. The R&B singer, who was fresh from testifying to Congress about volunteer work, left his pop persona far behind, and instead spoke to photographers as Usher Raymond IV and talked about his New Look organization. How do you know that he was being sincere? We all know how much he needs help in promoting his album but when paparazzi asked about it, he refused to plug the album and just kept talking about the organization.
Usher’s Wife Isn’t Happy at Home

Usher is currently in Las Vegas recording a new album and according to a new report, his wife is not happy that she wasn’t invited to come out to Sin City with the kids. Instead, the older chick that no one likes is stuck at home in Atlanta with the couple’s two sons. An insider said “She tried to have so much influence over his last project that this time, the people involved with the record said she had to stay away.” Her so called help didn’t do anything for Usher’s last album anyway. But really, I think it’s because they couldn’t stand her.

Recession causes Usher’s wine bar to close down
The everyday man has been the one who is most affected by the ongoing financial crisis but Hollywood too is now feeling the pinch as the situation shows no signs of reversing. The latest to fall victim to the financial turmoil is R&B singer Usher whose wine bar has had to shut down.
In 2006 the singer grandly opened The Grape in his hometown and at that time he wished to expand this entity into a global brand. But its been over a month now and since the turn of the new year the bar has not opened its door.
Really people are losing their jobs and who needs expensive bar/bistro such as the one that is owned by Usher and mind you in a recent statement President Obama said that corporate America should take less perks and bonuses thus one can gauge the enormity of the situation.
Bar such as these could open up anytime and even if a few were to close down it would not make a huge hole in Usher’s bank account but yes people would have lost jobs due to the bar’s closure as well.

Back in 2004 his album Confessions, sold 20 million copies worldwide.
But, this year’s Here I Stand has only sold 2 million worldwide to date.
BOMB! That has to suck!
I don’t think his new songs will fare as well as the ‘04 mega hit!
According to reports, he couldn’t even sell out his recent concert in the NYC.

About 1500 tickets were left unsold by the time he took the stage at the Hammerstein Ballroom. Yes, a “Ballroom.” Not even one of the City’s larger venues!

You’re going to need to come out with much better stuff to compete with Ne-Yo and Chris Brown who are totally ruling the kingdom you used to rule!

Usher waits Christmas for baby welcome

Usher is waiting for the time till Christmas arrive for at that time he is expecting the birth of second child which he say will make the “best Christmas present ever”.
Really welcoming your child into the world during the celebrations of Christmas would add so much joy to one’s world.
Usher said: “I’m so proud to be a father before I reached 30. I’d hate to be 80 years old and not be able to run with my kids. I need to still be able to do flips when they’re in high school!”
Tameka on the other hand had this to say about their first baby Usher Raymond Vsaid: “He’s like a hyper baby – he’s crawling so fast! He stands up, and he’s walking around the table… it’s amazing to watch him. I’ve never seen a baby crawl so fast! I call him Dash, like on ‘The Incredibles’!” Wish them all the luck and certainly the second one will bring them even more joy and happiness.

Usher is Speechless on Obama’s success

While Barack Obama and his Democrat supporters were busy in partying and celebrating their success, Usher found himself speechless on the occasion.
When asked about his comments on the event, Usher replied, “I’m speechless, honestly. I don’t even know what to say.”
But in fact he still had enough to say.
Usher said, “Barack Obama doesn’t represent a color. He represents change.”
He further added, “I think this sets us off in the right direction in terms of change of tone. ….. The fact that so many people were encouraged by [his] words … by his message. It was never self-serving, it was always for country. Country first!”
He described his experience of the historical event as, “Man, this is incredible, after a lot of campaigning, and then a lot of prayer … It’s so incredible to see that this historical thing has happened.”
It is definitely a time history will always remember.

Usher recently released his new song ‘Hush’ on iTunes to urge people to vote on November 4. A large amount of the money from the purchase of the single will benefit his charity New Look. The charity has helped nearly 2,000 disadvantaged youth. Since Hurricane Katrina, it has also helped over 750 families resettle into housing through rent and utility assistance. It’s nice to see some celebrity charities actually benefiting others. There are so few that we regular people actually see putting their money to good use. So people, buy the song and help in whatever little way you can.

Usher gets mum back on payroll

Usher has re-hired his mother just over a year after he fired her. The ‘Love In This Club’ singer – who ditched his manager mom Jonetta Patton in May 2007 – has now employed her for a second time in a bid to kickstart the success of his latest record ‘Here I Stand’.
The pair released a statement saying: “Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonetta Patton as his manager.”
Usher’s decision to get rid of Jonetta last year was reportedly due to a rift between Jonetta and Usher’s wife Tameka Foster.
At the time, Usher said: “This is great for me because it means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother, with no added pressure.”
However, executives at Usher’s label, Jive Records, were said to be concerned about Jonetta’s sacking. A source said: “They think Jonetta’s done an incredible job with his career.”
‘Here I Stand’ sold just 433,000 copies in its first week, compared to Usher’s 2004 album ‘Confessions’ which sold 1.1 million.

The prodigal son is set to return. Rush & Molloy is reporting that Usher is quietly talking with his mom about making her his manager once again. The singer is apparently livid that music big shot Benny Medina couldn’t deliver big sales for his latest album which only sold 433,000 on its first week. Shouldn’t he be blaming himself for controversially firing his mother in the first place or that his choice of tunes just didn’t cut it for today’s audience? He must have been ticked off that Lil Wayne pulled in bigger numbers than he did. He definitely didn’t see that one coming.

Baby Boom
There appears to be congratulations in order for singer Usher and his wife; as their first child arrived into the world at 9.30pm on Monday (26-11-07). Originally, they named baby son, Usher. Usher Raymond V to be precise.
So is that like calling him Junior? Well, if so, little Jr. was a healthy 7lb 9oz; and the couple are overjoyed. “We are so happy and proud of our beautiful son. What a blessing!”
I have to say it’s lovely and refreshing to not be writing about crazy stars doing drug related, alcohol related or generally weird related things for once. I have already mentioned this week the planned wedding of Kanye West and his girlfriend; and now the happy family here. Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy… until tomorrow when someone is bound to have done something stupid. Again.
