Timbaland recently released the music video for his song “Pass at Me”. The song, which features rapper Pitbull, is a new dance number from the 39-year old producer and songwriter. Timbaland recently spoke about the song, saying that he was inspired by Lou Bega’s track “Mambo No. 5”. He described the song as “It’s not sterile. A lot of dance music out there is too clean – this one is [all about] bass hits and it makes you move!” As for the video, it’s that regular hip hop and dance video where you see a lot of hot girls shaking their thing, yachts, mansions, beaches and pools.

It seems that the singer will be embarking on a pretty special tour together with the one and only Timbaland. The tour is set to begin at this month’s end and it will see Ciara and Timbaland performing in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Among the guest stars they will have on their tour will be Lil’ Kim and Fat Joe. Even though Ciara seems to have been hiding under a very big rock lately, it looks like she’s ready to get back on the horse. And the touring places she has chosen can only be described as exotic. Having Timbaland with her will probably be a big ticket seller, but that was probably the plan all along.
Chris Brown has a new song out called “Paper, Scissors, Rock”. The Timbaland-produced track comes off of the R&B singer’s fourth studio album “FAME”, which is set to be released on March 22. The song is a fun, up tempo, auto-tuned, synth-heavy track that will appear only on the deluxe edition of the album though. I like it. If you remember, a demo version of this song leaked out last year and it seems that Timbaland didn’t do much to the final cut. In any case, Chris definitely made the song more interesting. He’s seriously making me believe that this is going to be his year.

Timbaland has released the fourth offering from his “Timbaland Thursdays” weekly free music series. The new song is a collaboration with the hit maker/rapper and R&B singer Brandy called “808”. Ever since I found out that this featured her, I went crazy. However, I only ended up being disappointed after listening to the song with Brandy only singing a couple of lines towards the end with the rest of the song featuring her backing vocals and adlibs. In any case, it’s still a pretty hot song. Timbaland’s verses were cool but I really think the song could have been much better if Brandy sang more.

Timbaland provided his fans with the second installment in his free music series “Timbaland Thursdays” with a new song called “Round Da Way Tim”. Everyone originally thought that the hip hop mogul was going to release the full version of “Warped”, a collaborating with Missy Elliot and Sebastian, since a snipped leaked a couple of days prior. However, the hit maker changed his mind in the last minutes and delivered the very personal “Round the Way Tim”. It’s a great song. Timbaland delivers once again. And I just love the lyrics. “Who you know just like me? A simple black man who own a private island.”

Keri Hilson’s official video for a song “Breaking Point” has recently made a debute. The Timbaland colaborate with Keri Hilson in making this song, “Breaking Point” is the lead single from Keri’s upcoming album called “No Boys Allowed”
Job well done Keri with this video!
The seniors of Culver City High School said goodbye to high school life forever last week and boy did they have a great way to go out! As a special surprise, rap moguls Dr. Dre and Timbaland shocked the students by putting on a private concert at the school’s graduation party. Dr. Dre came out into the school’s gym and introduced Timbaland, who performed some of his hits like ‘The Way I Are’ and ‘Say Something’. The performance was sponsored by Hewlett-Packard and Interscope Records, who not only gave the kids an amazing concert, free food and gear but also donated $10,000 worth of computer equipment to the school. I wish my graduation was like that.
Timbaland recently announced some details about his upcoming North American tour for ‘Shock Value II’ and it’s bound to be hot! The show is being pitched as a “visual and sonic extravaganza” and also boosts the rapper/producer performing with a slew of surprise live guests. Considering the set list, expect guests like Drake, Keri Hilson, DOE, Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. And in a cool twist of technology, other guests will appear via digital imagery projected onto a full-size screen. Some of those guests include the likes of Katy Perry and Brandy. It is going to be a hot show indeed!
Sources are confirming that Timbaland has axed Chris Brown off a track on his new album and the decision wasn’t entirely because of the music. Sources say that the controversial R&B singer provided some vocals for a song called ‘The One I Love’. Realizing the connotation that carried having Chris singing the song, he was cut. Though reps for both camps deny that being the case, rapper DOE, who also appears on the track, which was originally called ‘Maniac’, says that the track was changed because some people didn’t think it would be a good idea to attach Chris to a song with that title.
The singer will reportedly be teaming up with famous producer Timbaland in order to further her career. A source said the following about Leona Lewis’ upcoming collaboration plans: “Timbaland can’t wait to work with Leona and make her feisty like Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna. The ballads will still be there but the tracks will be racier and there’ll be dance floor anthems too.” Now Leona Lewis can finally become the money-making industry she’s been expecting to become. With Timbaland producing her music, Leona Lewis is sure to roll in the big bucks. And so we can add another diva to the list. Still, Leona Lewis has a lot of catching up to do until reaching the true majesty of the likes of say… Mariah Carey.
