According to a lawsuit filed earlier this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Sex Pistols singer Johnny Rotten allegedly beat the crap out of a female assistant and cussed her out after the taping of a television show in 2007. In the lawsuit Roxane Davis claimed that Rotten “cocked back his fist … and punched her in the face” when the rocker ended up in a hotel room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel that didn’t share a door with his other assistant named Rambo. She claims that both Rotten and Rambo went on a verbal tirade against her. Davis was an employee of the show that Rotten was working on. She says she reported the incident to her supervisor but that no one paid any mind to her.
You might have heard of this before – DMX was busted again this weekend at his home in Arizona. Sheriffs even say that the rapper barricaded himself in his bedroom when police arrived to get him. He was arrested in his home in Cave Creek on 7 misdemeanor counts of animal cruelty and 4 felony drug possession charges. During a search of the home, cops found a number or weapons and drugs as well as 5 pit bull puppies. According to Sheriff Arpaio, DMX attempted to lock himself in his bedroom at the time of the search warrant but eventually came out, made no further resistance and was booked.
The drummer of famous 80s hair band Poison was arrested on Monday on a rape warrant out of Mississippi just as he got off a flight from New Zealand at LAX. The 46-year old rikki Rockett was busted by the Airport Division of the LAPD as he was going through customs. The LA Daily News first reported that the musician was transported to the LA County Jail where he was booked on a felony fugitive sexual assault warrant out of Neshoba County, Mississippi.
Rockett and singer Bret Michaels founder Poison together. Rockett was in New Zealand to reunite and perform with the other original members of the band at a huge heavy metal show.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and James ‘Jimmy Henchman’ Rosemond are fuming at LA Times for an article they wrote on Monday which implicated them in the 1994 shooting of rapper 2Pac. The shooting which occurred at Quad Recording Studios in New York 2 years prior his death has never been solved and no charges have been filed. But an LA Times report came out just this week that claims that the FBI has received new info that ties the shooting to two associates of Diddy, namely Rosemond and promoter James Sabatino. Both Diddy and Rosemond have made statements about the article saying it was baseless. Rosemond even adds that he’s consulting with lawyers about making any legal moves. 2Pac has long claimed that Diddy had something to do with his shooting.
Cops in Georgia arrested a 17-year old boy on Friday and charged him with killing his mother, a local sheriff’s deputy, and his 2 sisters. One of those little girls was the daughter of rapper Juvenile. Anthony Tyrone Terrell Jr. has been charged with 3 counts of murder and 3 counts of aggravated assault.
Terrell allegedly gunned down his mother, 39-year old Joy Deleston and her two daughters, 11-year old Micaiah and 4-year old Jelani. Jelani was proven to be Juvenile’s daughter in 2003 when he was arrested for abandonment of a dependent child after a DNA test determined he was the father. A statement has been released saying “Juvenile was extremely saddened to hear the reports. As a private matter he has no further comment.”
It looks like celebrities like to keep the police busy and on alert. Rapper Juvenile is the most recent felon to be caught as he was arrested in Meridian, Mississippi on Tuesday for possession of under an ounce of marijuana. The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department said that he was in a car pulled over for expired tags though it’s still unclear whether Juvenile was driving or was just a passenger. He was booked and released later that day. There is still no word on when his next appearance in court will be. Calls to the rapper’s reps have not been returned.
60 days in jail, 150 hours of community service and 3 years of probation – that’s the sentence that rapper The Game received when he pleaded no contest to possession of a firearm in a school zone. Jayceon ‘The Game’ Taylor faced 3 felony counts for making criminal threats and exhibiting a firearm in the presence of a peace officer. The other two counts were dismissed are part of a plea agreement. Taylor allegedly got into an altercation in February 2007 which resulted in him punching a guy and pulling a gun from his Escalade to threaten to shoot the victim. He has until March 3 to turn himself in.
It is being reported that rapper Lil’ Wayne is facing some big time charges after his most recent arrest. He’s now facing possession of cocaine, possession of ecstasy and possession of drug paraphernalia. The rapper, real name Dwayne Carter, was arrested with two others who have been charged with possession of marijuana. Cops found 105 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of cocaine and 41 grams of ecstasy pills when the rapper’s tour bus got stopped at a Border Patrol checkpoint. Police also found over $20,000 in cash and a 40-caliber pistol but Wayne says that he has a permit to carry it in Florida. They’re checking if it carries over to Arizona. If not, that’s another charge on him.
Bobby Brown could wind up slapped with possession charges next month. While the piece of news isn’t exactly shocking for the R&B singer, I’m just wondering how this flew under the radar. Whitney’s ex-husband is due in a Boston area court on February 19th for a closed-door clerk’s hearing on whether he should get charged or not. The hearing stems from an incident in Brockton, Mass., on December 1st.
Authorities were called to a hotel for a report of a disturbance. When they arrived, troopers found Brown outside of a vehicle. Sources say that troopers found some drugs and Brown asked if he could “use discretion” and not charge him. That was when state police filed paperwork for the clerk’s hearing.
It’s not just athletes getting in a steroid scandal these days as it is being reported that 50 Cent, Mary J. Blige, Timbaland, Wyclef Jean and Tyler Perry have all been named in a steroid trafficking scandal that may involve thousands of people.
The Times Union of Albany says that “Blige and other stars were shipped prescribed human growth hormone or steroids — sometimes under fictitious names — at hotels, productions studios, private residences, an upscale Manhattan fitness club and through the Long Island office of Michael Diamond, a chiropractor affiliated with the celebrities” citing information from “several cooperating witnesses” in the investigation.
According to information the DA disclosed in court on Thursday, the other defendant in rapper Tony Yayo’s assault case told detectives some time ago that it was himself and not Yayo who assaulted a 14-year old victim. It was revealed that it was Lowell Fletcher who told detectives back in August that he had assaulted the victim and that Yayo actually restrained him from doing so. This should have cleared the G-Unit co-founder of assault charges. It’s unclear why the evidence was just introduce today or why Yayo plead guilty to the assault charges last summer.
The rapper is due back in court in a week with his trial scheduled to begin on March 31.
Avril Lavigne has been accused of stealing songs many times by many artists. But it seems that the Canadian singer and so-called songwriter wanted to make a fresh start in 2008 because she has just settled a plagiarism lawsuit brought against her by the band the Rubinoos, who claim that Avril’s song ‘Girlfriend’ sounded way too much like their song ‘I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend’.
The terms of the out of court deal are confidential. However, I can pretty much guarantee that Avril had to fork over some cash. Now I wonder if she would fork over money to Peaches and Chantal Kreviazuk and whoever else.
It’s apparent that lawyers don’t take vacations as a lawsuit can be filed over the holidays. R&B crooner Ne-Yo proved just that when he chose to sue fellow crooner R. Kelly. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles on Monday and alleges that Ne-Yo was fired as an opening act from Kelly’s tour a few months ago because he outshined the headliner and got a better response from the crowd.
Ne-Yo is claiming that he was set to earn $785,000 for opening for Kelly at a minimum of 25 concerts. It’s pretty clear that Ne-Yo wants his money’s worth. Happy New Year, R! Here’s a lawsuit to celebrate with.
Last week, B2K’s former member Demario ‘Raz B’ Thorton accused his former manager of sexual abuse. But now, he is saying that he made the whole thing up. He posted a statement on YouTube, much like he did with the accusation, apologizing for the accusations he made about Chris Stokes saying that the allegations were not true. I guess he got scared of Stokes’ initial response of seeking legal action against him.
Stokes has since released another statement saying “I’m happy that Demario ‘Raz B’ Thorton and Ricardo Thorton realized their mistakes and admitted to lying. I have always supported my family and have always been a stand up person. I knew that the truth would eventually come to light.”
Yung Joc is a fugitive! The rapper failed to show at his arraignment on felony gun charges which just earned him that title.
Cops had arrested the 27-year old rapper whose real name is Jasiel Robinson last Saturday after he tried to go through a Cleveland airport security with a semi-automatic weapon in his carry on bag. Cuyahoga County assistant prosecutor Gayle Williams told the AP that she plans to request a warrant for him. The rapper’s lawyer Stanley Jackson Jr., was apologetic and said that Joc was out of town on “personal and family obligations”. It’s what we can call being afraid of the law.
Chris Stokes (inset), the former manager of the now defunct band B2K, is denying allegations that he sexually abused former member Demario ‘Raz-B’ Thorton (right) and his brother Ricardo aka Ricky Romance (left).
The allegations surfaced on YouTube and include improper touching and outright molestation. Both alleged victims can be heard generally accusing Stokes but for the most part, their statements lacked any specifics. Stokes has since released a statement regarding the allegations and he thinks that the reason for the false accusations is money. Stokes also said that he “will take all legal routes to protect myself, my family and my four children”.
When you lose someone you love, you just can’t help but grieve. And that’s what the Weslyn ‘Mama Wes’ Monroe, the mom of the late Pimp C, did in an interview with KFDM News.“C’s business manager found his body in his hotel room in Los Angeles and we know he died in his sleep. Past that, we don’t know anything. This is a terrible shock. Mama is just a little tougher than most, but I break too.”
She also added how she has received a great amount of support from family, friends, artists and other entertainers. “The phone won’t stop ringing. It feels good, if anything can feel good now.”

Police are saying that there is currently no suspect regarding the shooting and no arrests have been made. Investigation on the who’s, how’s and why’s regarding Spice 1’s shooting is currently going on.
Spice 1 has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the rap industry, including Method Man, 2Pac and Ice-T.
Apparently rapper T.I. likes to play with guns - even though he’s been told not to many times.T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris, is currently facing federal charges in relation to his October 13 arrest. He was arrested in Atlanta, just a few hours before he was scheduled to perform at the BET Hip-Hop Awards. He was allegedly attempting to purchase unregistered machine guns and silencers.
His official charge is possession of unregistered guns and silencers and possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He managed to make bond and is currently serving under house arrest.
Convicted felon, you ask? Well, let’s review the laundry list of T.I.’s previous run-ins with the law. According to the U.S. Attorney’s office, he was involved in three other instances of unlawful possession of guns.
The first incident was on December 22, 2001. He was carrying a concealed 9mm pistol and told police his name was Douglas Morgan. He managed to get out of this one without a criminal conviction.
The second time was November 1, 2002, less than a year later. He was carrying a 10mm pistol. Guess he hadn’t learned his lesson yet.
The third incident occurred when a search warrant was issued for his Fulton County home on December 18, 2004. Police found a gun with attached silencer, ammunition, and pictures of T.I. holding weapons. Again, this incident did not bring a criminal conviction.
Part of this newest charge is possession of firearms by a convicted felon. Seems T.I. was arrested for selling crack in Atlanta when he was just 17 years old. He was given seven years of probation for that offense, which he violated, so he was then sent to jail.
It seems to me that his problem isn’t just playing with guns; it’s listening to authority.
The coast is clear for Diddy in New York for the mean time. The hip hop mogul is not going to be charged by the Manhattan DA for allegedly punching someone in a nightclub with said someone being his so-called friend.
Diddy’s attorney Benjamin Brafman has released a statement regarding the matter saying “I’ve been informed by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office that after a thorough investigation, they have made a decision not to authorize any arrests in connection with the incident involving Mr. Combs and Steven Acevedo on October 13. I want to commend the DA’s office and the New York City Police Department for conducting a thorough and very fair investigation into this incident and not allowing this private disagreement between two acquaintances to turn into a criminal charge.”
Innocent until proven guilty, or at least that’s what a source is saying about the gun charges on T.I. The source is saying that the troubled rapper never tried to buy guns and that it was all his bodyguard’s doing.
MediaTakeOut.com was able to talk to the source and the source said that “”[The bodyguard] asked T.I. for an advance on his [pay] and T.I. gave it to him. …Whatever he spent money on — whether it be guns, drugs, or formula for his children — T.I. had nothing to do with it.”
When asked about the guns found in T.I.’s house, the source said “T.I. has security that lives with him and stay with him at all times. The gun that the [federal agents] found belonged to his security team.”
CNN reports otherwise though saying that there were firearms in the car T.I. was using.
A lawyer for Lil Wayne says his client missed a court date, leading to his arrest last weekend, because the summons was sent to an old address and the hip-hop star didn’t get it. It got changed, the damn address got changed then it would have been mandatory for him to inform the court that his address has changed from that date onwards his new address was as follows and any further correspondence could be made here. He is plain and simple trying to fool the courts. Man, when I have a new mobile number I just text the new number to all my contacts asking them to note it and delete the previous one as I have discontinued it. I think it was his attorney’s responsibility to inform the courts of the change. The hurricane happened last year and then when ever he found a new address he should have taken the matter seriously as there is a court matter pending against him. No sorry but I do not give him the benefit of doubt.
Where’s the humanity?! Authorities investigating animal cruelty accusations on rapper DMX have revealed their gruesome findings.
The investigation is from an August 24 raid of the rapper’s Phoenix, Arizona home where police were investigating reports of animal neglect. Authorities were able to seize 12 pit bulls, weapons and a quarter ounce of marijuana.
Forensic reports have recently come out that the condition of animal remains found on the property were “significantly decomposed, the head and rear quarters and legs had a white trash bag around them; the body was wrapped in a dirt-stained beige fitted sheet and inside a clear plastic bag; all placed inside a white body bag”. It was determinable evidence of injury.
No charges have been filed against DMX still as the matter is still under investigation.
Rapper Keith Murray is offering a $7,000 reward to be reunited with his stolen laptop which contains more than a decade’s worth of his work. Oh man! That is heartbreaking to have his work stolen! And the thief had some nerve to even shout what he did. I hope the thieves get what’s coming to them. Or can it be the other way round, look at my mischievous mind. Was the person who stole the work a spy agent hired by the person from whom Keith stole the work and now it has come a full circle? It could have been the successful plot of a movie, a struggling music artist approaches a then rap mogul to help him find a foot in the music industry, he throw the new kid on the blow out of his home. New kid wants revenge for the insult, he somehow manages to steal the great’s work and now that aging icon hires a spy to recover his work. The moral behind this story is – never insult someone who needs your help and never resort to cheating. Blockbuster movie and Keith Murray is willing to pay $7000 for a laptop.
Luciano Pavarotti’s adult daughters chastised the media Tuesday night about reports claiming they are squabbling with the late tenor’s second wife, and said they were not aware that their father made any changes to his will as he neared death. Money is money, and look his daughter is already giving an indication that money matters the most when she is speaking about changes to the will by Pavarotti. If the will is in their favor then I am sure that they will have no problems with anything that is said in the media, but if Pavarotti made any changes that give his second wife a few goodies from his wealth which his daughters are not aware then see what kind of drama is created, all the ladies would come out on the streets making all false comments and derogatory remarks against one and another.
After we haven’t heard anything of the former manager of Backstreet boys and N’SYNC recently news for his arrest in Indonesia spread.
Authorities have been seeking Pearlman in the midst of an investigation into allegations that he was behind a bogus investment scheme that defrauded investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars and banks out of an additional $150 million. According to the Orlando Sentinel, authorities in Indonesia expelled Pearlman and then turned him over to U.S. authorities.
A speaker of the U.S. attorney office in Tampa told reporters: ”We are aware that he is in the custody of the FBI, I can’t comment beyond that”.
The arrest occurred just days after thousands of items from Pearlman’s Trans Continental empire were auctioned in Florida to help raise money to pay back some of the allegedly defrauded investors. And only $200 000 from the sale of boy bands memorabilia he had managed- N’SYNC and Backstreet Boys and office furniture and plane parts was rung up in the auction.
Lou reportedly left the country in January to accompany his new boy band US5 on their tour to Europe just as his once-massive empire was falling apart amid the bank-fraud allegations. It turns out that he had done this to escape from police and problems. While he was out of the U.S., involuntary bankruptcy proceedings against him and his dozens of companies went forward, as did a federal criminal probe and a number of lawsuits from more than 1,000 investors who were allegedly cheated.
