Joe Jackson Confirms Michael Jackson Has Another Son

Joe Jackson recently admitted in an interview that Michael Jackson’s young protégé/rumored son, Omer Bhatti, is in fact a member of the Jackson family. Rumors went around that Omer was the secret lovechild of the late King of Pop, but sources firmly denied it. However, Joe admits that Omer “looks like a Jackson, acts like a Jackson” and of course, the boy can dance like a Jackson. I think that he’s just doing this to get more air time. But if it is true, I just have one thing to say – run Omer! Hurry before Joe gets his hands on you and recruits you into the new Jackson 5.

New Flo-Rida Music Video

Flo Rida has a new music video out for his song ‘Sugar’. The song features R&B singer Wynter Gordon and is the third single from the rapper’s sophomore album ‘R.O.O.T.S.’ The song’s chorus samples from Eiffel 65’s dance pop song ‘Blue (Da Ba Dee)’. The video shows a female doctor putting Flo Rida to sleep, causing him to fantasize about a girl he likes. It’s obviously not the most interesting of video concepts but I have to admit that the song is still fire! Flo Rida’s the kind of rapper who you label as a joke or a one hit wonder at first but then suddenly grows on you even though you think he still has his stupid moments.

Madonna Gets Leaked

madonna-justin-timberlake.jpg

Madonna and Justin Timberlake’s collaboration ‘4 Minutes to Save the World’ has leaked and is making the rounds all over the internet. And as people say, don’t believe the hype. I’m disappointed really. You can barely hear Madonna singing because the song is all about the beats and it overpowers the whole thing. The melody is completely sacrificed and I can’t even determine where the chorus is. And those darn horns repeating on a loop – it’s so annoying! The song sounds more like something from one of Gwen Stefani’s solo albums. It’s ironic because Gwen has been vocal about how she’s been inspired mostly by Madonna. Sorry Madonna, not even golden boy Justin could give you a hit. I’m just not digging the song. Maybe it will grow on me.

Celine Dion at NRJ Music Awards

Celine Dion at NRJ Music Awards

Celine Dion snuggles up to manager husband Rene Angelil at the 2008 NRJ Music Awards held at the Palais des Festivals on Saturday in Cannes, France. Earlier in the day, the Canadian singer was seen arriving at an airport in Nice on her way to the awards show.

Celine is about to have her first concert in China on April 13 and it will be party of Beijing’s official celebration of the Olympic Games. The singer also submitted an entry for the Beijing Olympics theme song competition and I think she’s a shoe-in. She did sing the theme song for the opening ceremony of the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta.

Madonna for Sunsilk

Madonna for Sunsilk

Madonna was spotted wearing a pair of Ed Hardy sweatpants on Monday as she exited the Claridges Hotel in London. It must be hard earning all that money going in her pockets that she has to keep in shape.

The Queen of Pop has recently teamed up with hair care brand Sunsilk in hopes to inspire women around the world to take the leap up off of their couches and live life to the fullest with the debut of a massive ‘Life Can’t Wait’ campaign. The campaign will debut during the broadcast of Super Bowl XLII on February 3 and will feature such iconic stars like Madonna, Shakira and Marilyn Monroe.

Robbie Williams teases fans

Robbie Williams

Robbie Williams recently revealed in his blog that he has lots of new songs in the bag, despite no plans to release them at this time.

I can reveal the best of it is written with Jankel who was behind the 1978 smash hit Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick along with Ian Dury. I’ve heard it’s some of Robbie’s best ever stuff – which makes it even more frustrating for fans he is in no rush to release it.

Last year Robbie returned to the studio with ‘Angels’ co-writer Guy Chambers. But that hasn’t worked out and it’s Jankel’s work that will form the basis of Robbie’s comeback – whenever that may be.

A source revealed: “Robbie and Chaz have been working on some great stuff. “It’s back to Robbie’s funky best. Out of all of his new tunes, the Chaz stuff is the best. Currently his problem is that he has lots of different music that he’s worked with different people on. It all sounds very different so it doesn’t really sit very well as an album. “

Janet is Prestigious

Janet is Prestigious

The queen of fierce, Janet Jackson, is featured in the January 2008 issue of luxury lifestyle magazine Prestige Hong Kong. In the accompanying interview, the diva was asked about her family and her New Year resolutions for 2008.

She says that she wants to stop cursing as much and to become more environmentally friendly. “I’ve already started with my little energy-saving light bulbs; I’ve been testing them out. And I was thinking about getting a hybrid but I love these big cars, I love trucks and stuff. I’m awful. Slowly but surely I’m getting there, slowly but surely so that it’s not too drastic.”

Janet Jackson’s Official Release

 Janet Jackson’s Official Release

If the new promo picture that came out is any indication of the vibe that Janet Jackson’s new album is going to have, then that stuff is going to be shooting through the roof! Hot! Hot! Hot!

The lead single off of the album ‘Feedback’ is already getting massive airplay which has excited even more people about Janet’s comeback. And for those wondering just when we’ll get it, her new album ‘Discipline’ now has an official release date for February 26th. I can’t wait! I really hope that she would do a tour for this one. She needs to really go out there again.

Celine Dion Takes a Bow

Celine Dion Takes a Bow

Celine Dion was photographer with her 6 ½-year old son Rene as she waved goodbye during the final run of her Las Vegas show ‘A New Day’ at The Colosseum at the Caesars Palace on Saturday night.

Since the show opened in March 2003, nearly 3 million people have watched the 39-year old songstress perform 717 live shows. Gross ticket sales have totaled a cool $400 million. For those that missed the show, you can still catch it on the newly released five-hour double DVD ‘Celine Dion: A New Day – Live in Las Vegas’.

Celine will be kicking off the North American leg of her concert tour next month.

Rihanna’s Bad look is Good

Rihanna’s Bad look is Good

At her sold out Wembley gig last night, Rihanna proved she can hold her own against any of the strong female legends of pop as she rocked the stage in some very hot outfits.

The performance certainly drove away any ‘teen-pop’ image she may have been carrying. With awesome stage presence, powerhouse vocals and moves that would have Beyonce shaking in her boots; the fans went nuts.

I doubt the many changes of PVC bondage outfits harmed the effect either.

Welcome Back Janet Jackson

Welcome Back Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson is officially back and she is on fire! The youngest Jackson singer is ready to toss her hat back in the ring of the music industry with a new album coming out next year. The lead single has already leaked on the internet and it is hot!

‘Feedback’ is the name of the comeback song and here’s some feedback for her, it’s absolutely great! It’s not retro, it’s not futuristic – it’s just now. It’s current, it’s fresh and it’s fun. It’s a classic ‘Janet’ song. It’s also quite smart of her to lead the album with a dance track too.

Madonna Gives Candy

Madonna Gives Candy - New Album

It’s been reported that Madonna’s next studio album, her last with new material under Warner Bros., will be released in April of 2008 and will carry the title ‘Licorice’. The disc reportedly features collaboration with Kanye West and Pharell amongst others. There’s no word whether a tour will follow but it doesn’t hurt to pray for it.

However, not long after news broke out, Madonna’s publicist Liz Rosenberg has denied reports that the Queen of Pop’s new album will be called ‘Licorice’ and that it’s coming out in April. Music industry insiders are not buzzing that the disc will be called ‘Give It To Me’.

Pink Gets Sued

Pink Gets Sued

Pink released an album called ‘Missundazstood’ a couple of years back and now, it looks like there’s been a missundazstanding. A musician named Scratch has filed a lawsuit against the pop punk rocker for a featured performance on her hit CD.

In the lawsuit, Kyle ‘Scratch’ Jones claims that he is on Pink’s track ‘Respect’ but wasn’t paid for it. According to the suit, Scratch says he discussed payment with Pink but they never came to an agreement. He’s also claiming that his work was used on her DVD ‘Live in Europe’. He’s seeking $717,600 in damages.

A rep for Pink has released a statement regarding the matter saying “There’s nothing to say on this matter, as it is an unjustified lawsuit.”

Britney Spears Almost Gets Replaced

Britney Spears Almost Gets Replaced

Britney Spears is quickly getting known as someone who likes to bail and she almost bailed on her music video shoot for ‘Piece of Me’. That is, until her record label planned to use the dancers and location for her video for a younger rising star.

Page Six is reporting that the pop wreck was supposed to show up at Social Hollywood to shoot her new video but was hours late. When it looked like she was going to be a no-show, Jive decided to refit the set for another act’s video shoot – Samantha Jade’s ‘Eyes on Me’. When Brit got wind of what was going on, the Post says that she finally showed up – twelve hours past call time.

Kylie aims high

Kylie aims high

After a long absence Kylie Minogue is struggling to regain her place on the celebrity podium. Not only is she planning a long and fantastic European tour the next year, but she will also appear on the stage of the honorific Nobel Prize concert to celebrate the winners of 2007. She will be performing for Nobel Prize winners: the climate chance panel of the United Nations and ex-vice president Al. Gore. The prize is offered to the combined parties for their united effort in trying to wake the world up and realize an inconvenient truth: the global warming that is threatening to destroy our planet and our race along with it.

Kylie will join on the stage various celebrity females like Annie Lennox and Alicia Keys. It seems like on December the 11th only women are worthy to honor the giving of a Nobel Prize, as all singers will be members of the beautiful sex.

Kevin DuBrow dead

Kevin DuBrow dead

The 80’s nostalgia ends up tragically as the lead sing of Quiet riot has been found dead in his home.
Police discovered his lifeless body after performing a search once they got phone calls announcing he was missing. Friends and family are devastated, and former band members show their grief.

The band was currently active, singing from time to time and releasing albums once in a while, so the relationships between him and his colleagues were still good. No one seems to know what happened, but as in most cases when it comes to musicians, I suspect it was a suicide. As police didn’t reveal many details about his death, or the causes, I can’t assume anything or imagine the circumstance. But I think that if they would have found signs of unusual presences in his home or burglar steps they would have announced that.

Whitney’s Comeback

Whitney Houston

Everyone in the music know-how is aware that Whitney Houston is planning to make a comeback. Well now, it’s official. The pop/R&B diva is set to make her official return to being a performer at the Live & Loud music festival in Malaysia on the 1st of December.

Whitney is said to be performing an hour-long set of her classic hits and people are saying that she’s very excited about all of it. She was so excited in fact, that she just had to make a video about her comeback gig which has already made its way around the internet.

Beyonce at AMAs

Beyonce at AMAs

Bobby Brown may be going through a career change by trying to make it in country but did you ever fathom that Beyonce could do that same?

In a surprising move, Beyonce put a sweet country twist to her massive hit ‘Irreplaceable’ and even brought in Sugarland country crusaders Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush at the 2007 American Music Awards.

Beyonce was also recognized with the International Artist Award of Excellence. It’s a huge achievement because not only is she the first female artist to ever receive it but she also joins a list of legends including Michael Jackson, Rod Stewart, Led Zeppelin, the Bee Gees and Aerosmith.

Say Anything – In Defense Of The Genre

Say Anything - In Defense Of The Genre

Emo dudes vary the heartbreak guitars with string ballads and a faux show tune for years, say anything leader Max Bemis has had to deal with bipolar disorder, but judging by his band’s third album, he’s got something else to gripe about — namely, bad, bad love. Loosely based on one of Bemis’ own relationships, the album mostly sticks to serrated emo but ranges from big, string-laden ballads (“Plea”) to a faux show tune (“That Is Why”). When Bemis is on –shuffling between a touching Latinate melody and an ace, bloodletting chorus on “Hangover Song,” delivering the sugar-rush pop of “Shiksa (Girlfriend)” –his songs are tuneful and invigorating. “Retarded in Love” is sort of like a Springer episode: You don’t want to watch someone fall apart before your eyes, but you don’t want to look away, either. Lyrics about his love interest, a “slender slave with sluttish, sleepy eyes,” should have stayed in Bemis’ journal. Still, it’s hard not root for him — if he could only handle ladies with the same ease with which he turns out good melodies, he’d be all right.
