Snoop Dogg wants to step into Oprah’s shoes

After the tragic development of Oprah giving up her lifelong profession of making the world a better place with her talk show, it seems Snoop Dogg wants to step in and take charge of this massive responsibility. Here’s what Snoop Dogg said on the matter: “I’m trying to proposition the networks right now. If you’re wanting a nice, black, exciting young male who wants to turn the TV world right up – get at me. I heard Oprah Winfrey is leaving and there’s nobody who can do what Oprah did but, ahem – hello! Hello!” A nice, black, exciting young male? It sounds more like Snoop Dogg’s auditioning for a strip show, rather than Oprah’s old show. What’s the world of rap coming to anyway?

Oprah Winfrey said she believed Michael Jackson was “profoundly lonely” as she remembered interviewing the King of Pop in 1993.

In the interview that re-aired on The Oprah Show on Wednesday, Jackson opened up about everything from his plastic surgery, the abuse he allegedly suffered from his father Joe, his love interests and his purpose in life.

“My purpose, I think, is to give in the best way I can,” Jackson told Oprah, before he went on to talk about his love for music and performing.

“I was surprised he was willing to go that far,” Oprah said of the interview. “I see now how profoundly lonely he was.

“I heard and sensed it then but I didn’t feel how lonely he was.”

Oprah also recalled feeling Jackson’s “sense of fear and sadness” when he was talking about his childhood.

One of the last questions Oprah asked Jackson in the interview was how he would like to be perceived. Jackson answered: “I just simply want to be loved wherever I go.”

Jackson died at the age of 50 in June in Los Angeles after he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Whitney Houston’s comeback will be blessed by her daughter paying her the greatest of compliments.

Bobbi Kristina said she would like to follow her mother and father into music and become a singer.

Bobbi Kristina was asked by Oprah Winfrey whether or not she was after a singing career at the taping of Whitney’s tell-all interview appearance on the show that opened the lid on her drug abuse and experience of domestic violence.

“Yeah, I know she hates it, but it’s the plan. It’s my plan. Mine. Yeah,” Bobbi Kristina said.

Bobbi Kristina accompanied her mother to Whitney’s pre-taped performance on Oprah’s show.

She said: “Honestly, words can’t explain how proud I am of her, really,” Bobbi Kristina told Oprah as her mother seemed to blush. I’ve been there with her through everything and the whole divorce and talking and whatever, but you know, I stay by her side. That’s like my best friend, you know, that’s like my sister.”

Oprah Winfrey loves scent of new best friend Jay-Z

Oprah Winfrey was in a lather over Jay-Z.

Winfrey gushed about the rapper in a recent radio call. “Jay-Z is my new best friend!” she said while giving an interview to her best friend Gayle King.

“He was so charming and delightful — and he smelled so good,” the talk show queen said.

“It’s the kind of thing where you hug a guy and the scent is sort of buried in them. When we went to the second location I could still smell him on me. It was like, ‘Oh my, this is wonderful!’”

Hip-hop artist Jay-Z is also a perfumer who has produced a scent called Rocawear 9 IX to be launched next month.

50 Cent Almost Tops Oprah

Oprah Winfrey always comes out on top of the list of Top Earning African American Stars by Forbes. But do you know who came in second this year? 50 Cent! The list was compiled from the amount of money that celebrities made between June 2007 to June 2008. According to Forbes, the rapper brought it around $150 million during that year. I doubt any money was made off of his music career though. His investment in Vitamin Water, his clothing line and video games must have brought in the cash. 50 has also recently launched a film company and is planning to launch his own line of dietary supplements.

Leona Lewis to take US by storm

Leona Lewis to take US by storm

Oprah Winfrey says Leona Lewis is going to take the US by storm. The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer appeared on Oprah’s US talk show yesterday and blew the audience away with her amazing performance.

Afterwards, Oprah announced: “A star is born!”

Before appearing on the show, Leona – whose single ‘Bleeding Love’ is currently number one in the US iTunes singles chart – spoke of her excitement about meeting one of her idols. She said: “I can’t believe it really, I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ ”

Leona’s debut album ‘Spirit’ is set for release in the US on April 8, complete with two new bonus tracks masterminded by Akon and Madd Scientist. Earlier this year, Leona was left “overwhelmed” when Whitney Houston said she was a “baby version” of herself.

The British star met her “all-time musical hero” at producer Clive Davis’ Annual Grammy Party in Los Angeles, but could barely speak when she was introduced to Whitney.

She said: “It was amazing, I got to meet my all-time musical hero Whitney Houston – who looked so incredible. Clive introduced us. I don’t think I managed to say much though; I was overwhelmed! I was told afterwards that when I performed she had said to a friend at the record label, ‘My God, she’s a baby me!’ Wow – what a huge compliment!”
