Nas and Kelis are far from friends after their marriage of four years ended and it just escalated after the rapper was ordered by the court to pay $1000 per month to his baby mama for child support. Nas has finally broken his silence about the situation in a new, unreleased verse from his ‘Strong Will Continue’ collaboration song. He raps “How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy/ When I pay child support, alimony monthly/ So I’ve stuck with some married women so fine, cheating while their husband rushing on the 40-yard line/ Wonder if this is what my ex did the whole time.” Burn!

Nas is getting dragged into court again

And who other could be doing the dragging than his former wife, Kelis. Of course she has very good reason too, or so she claims. It seems Nas has been refusing to pay child support since the 1st of December last year and he is almost 60 000 dollars behind on his payments. Maybe he’s had a bad last quarter, how come Kelis doesn’t cut Nas a bit of slack? After all, those child support sums are not to laugh at in regards to quantity. Could Kelis have overstepped the lifestyle a bit and now she finds herself unable to go on with it? But, that is for the judge to decide after all.

Nas Doesn’t Want to Pay Spousal Support

Kelis better find some way to make money fast and hire herself a good lawyer because the singer is in trouble! Nas filed a bid earlier this week requesting that he not have to pay spousal support to his estranged wife, who also happens to be the mother of their newborn child. Back in July, a New York judge ordered the rapper to pay Kelis $55,000 a month in both spousal and child support. Now, Nas wants to cut the number down to only include funds for his son. Now that is cold. He knows she doesn’t have a career anymore. Why does he have to stoop so low to hurt her like that?

Rap star Nas in court bid to block alimony payments to Kelis

US rapper Nas has asked the judge in his divorce case to block his estranged wife Kelis from getting spousal support.

In papers, filed by his lawyer Mark Vincent Kaplan, Nas also requests joint custody of their two-month-old son Knight.

Kelis has asked for $72,728 a month in spousal support.

The singer, 30, married Nas, 36, in 2005. But she filed for divorce five months ago, citing irreconcilable differences.

Their son Knight was born in July and the hip-hop star proudly announced the birth in an online video.

Nas Faces Tax Lien

Kelis isn’t the only person trying to get her hands inside Nas’ wallet as it turns out that Uncle Sam is after the rapper too! A federal tax lien was filed last month against Nas for a whopping $2,584,206.31! It looks like he failed to pay his taxes from way back in 2006 and 2007. The rapper is still currently involved in a bitter divorce battle with his estranged wife, singer Kelis. But with that tax lien, it looks like she is going to have to wait in line to get her money. At the rate he’s going, Nas will be broke before we get to ring in 2010.

Earlier this month, pictures of rapper Nas and singer Kelis popped up and made people think that the couple had reconciled and the divorce was thrown out of the window. It’s too bad that all those thoughts weren’t true. It seems that the couple was just playing nice for the camera because Kelis still wants their November 20th divorce hearing to proceed. I guess Nas will be paying a pretty penny for that kid after all. But if they could cease fire for the camera, why couldn’t they talk things out for their kid? The kid is the one that has to suffer through all of this anyway.

The singer who recently filled for divorce from rapper Nas is now demanding money from her soon to be ex-husband in order to cover child expenses and also stem cell storage. Kelis said the following about her demands for money from Nas: “I do not have funds to maintain our marital lifestyle or pay for our unborn child’s expenses, around $80,000 a month. My survival is based on Nas’ will at this time.” And of course we all know that stem cell storage is crucial to any family welcoming a baby in their midst. What kind of a musician is Kelis anyway if she still has to rely on Nas for financial support… or does she just want to milk the cow as much as possible while it’s still in season?

The singer recently wrote on her twitter account about how her husband, Nas, apparently cheated on her. Kelis wrote the following: “This lovely day I would like to touch on cheaters. Super brief! Why be cowardly, why not go after what you really want? Do people know what they want? Probably not which goes into know and respecting ones self. Also we can discuss wusses I mean the nasty sub par tricks that participate in cheating. Well let me say this, both parties that are gross. And reality they deserve each other. All the scum bag coward husbands and less than impressive sluts unite! You can all go down in flames together! Hooray!” It seems Kelis filled for divorce from Nas in April, even though she’s eight months pregnant with his child. Does that mean there won’t be any more prizes in the baby-naming contest? How sad…

Nas Doesn’t Want to Pay Up

It looks like things are about to get ugly in the divorce going on between Nas and Kelis. Kelis recently filed for divorce and she’s already seven months pregnant with their first child. However, Nas, one of the most affluent rappers in the world, has filed a request with their divorce judge to deny his soon-to-be ex-wife the spousal support she is asking for and to pay for her own lawyer’s fees. He is asking for joint custody of their unborn child though. You wish dude. If you can’t even support the mother of your child, how can you take care of the baby?

Hip hop power couple Kelis and Nas are going through a divorce. The saddest part of this story is that Kelis is actually seven months pregnant. The couple met at a 2002 MTV VMA’s after party which was thrown by Diddy. They then tied the knot in 2003. Reps for Kelis have confirmed the split, stating “I can confirm that she has filed for divorce… We request the media to respect her privacy during this very difficult time.” The singer is asking for both spousal and child support from the rapper. I wonder what brought this on. They’ve been pretty quiet up until now.

The couple has apparently hit a hard spot while expecting their first child together since they do not know how to name him. Kelis is considering organizing an on-line contest in order to find a suitable name for Nas’ future son. Kelis said: “Yeah, we are deciding between a few baby names. It’s kind of hard. I’ve been thinking about kind of putting something online – ‘Choose his name.’ You get a couple stacks for that. We take care of you for that. You win something real. But we’re thinking now.” Sure, go ahead, let somebody else chose the kid’s name. Why not? I can just picture Nas going to Kelis in their home “Where has Destructor run off to now?” or “Is Crucifier playing with the cat again?” Real family values for you!

50 Cents says ‘Nas’ career is over

According to the always arrogant rapper 50 Cents his rival ‘Nas’ is no longer a chart competitor and feels that the veteran singer’s career is all but over. He feels that ‘Nas’ is no longer a threat and if he is to be believed then his rivals’ career is “finished”.

Speaking to the XXL magazine he says, “Nas is cold as ice. Nas is the block of ice that sunk the Titanic… I didn’t even hear his record. I didn’t even hear what you talking about… I really don’t want to talk about Nas. I think he’s at one of those points to where his career’s finished, to be honest.”

I think 50 Cents is starting to feel the heat from other singers and therefore he is trying to target some of his lower radar rivals in a bid to make his presence felt. Frankly the music this chap makes is way too crap to even consider it as music.

But as we all know he is acclaimed for his business mindedness and therefore he is more often than not able to come with unique plans to sell his music albums.

Kelis Making Milk

Her milkshare brought all the boys to the yard but now the milk is going to be needed by someone else. Us Weekly is reporting that singer Kelis and her hubby, rapper Nas, are expecting their first child together. Kelis was recently spotted already sporting a little bump. There’s no word on when the singer is due or if there’s already information about whether the baby is a boy or a girl. Congratulations to the happy couple! I hope she has a safe pregnancy and that the baby will come out healthy. That baby’s going to get a lot of milkshake for its money.

Maxim Does it Again

Maxim garnered a strike when they did a music review for the Black Crowes’s new album ‘War Paint’ without listening to the album. They have since apologized for the screw up but it doesn’t prevent them from doing it again. And that they did. Maxim has done a review for rapper Nas’ new album even though he hasn’t even finished recording it yet. Maxim has also apologized for the review but Nas doesn’t seem to care saying “I’d prefer [a review from] Playboy. That kind of stuff doesn’t reach my radar or affect anybody around me. I don’t know what a music rating from Maxim is . . . I don’t know what it even means really.”
