And this time, she has her two children with her too. It seems the singer has finally returned from the hospital together with her two children and she’s pretty happy about it… even though a bit scared. This is what Mariah Carey had to say on the matter: “My twins came home today. It’s a whole other level now because they’re at home. There’s no hospital rooms, and there’s no nurses, it’s just us. So, it’s real. It’s a little scary at times, but we’re handling it.” And so the real adventure begins… but at least Mariah Carey is going to get a whole new source of songwriting circumstances and perhaps she might just finish that new album of hers sooner than expected.

The singer was recently treated to a very lavish baby shower so naturally Mariah Carey received a great deal of presents, probably one more amazing than the other. However, Mariah Carey’s very favorite one was a book made by her fans. This is what the singer had to say of this very special present: “We so had a ‘moment’ in the middle of the shower when they presented the book to me and everyone thought it was the cutest, most thoughtful thing ever! It was the best moment of the night. I can’t wait for the twins to read the messages and feel the love!” Mariah Carey’s children will probably be too busy playing with the golden, mechanized poodles to bother with a silly little fan-made book… at least the parents appreciated it.

Mariah Carey recently opened up about her pregnancy and revealed that she’s very pleased that we now live in a time where people are accepted even though their parents may be from mixed heritage. The pop singer said “Having Obama in office and bringing a child into the world at this point is totally different than me feeling like an outcast when I was growing up and not feeling like it was okay to be ethnically diverse, and I can’t believe that we have arrived at this point within society. I think it’s a little bit easier now because the world has changed just in terms of identifying yourself. That always felt like a strange thing to me as a child, not looking the same as your own mother of father was a very different thing back then.”

The pregnant singer apparently had a few superstition problems about revealing anything on her pregnancy due to the fact that she has suffered a miscarriage back at the end of 2008. This is what Mariah Carey related on the matter: “I became extra superstitious and overly cautious because of what we had gone through a year and a half ago, so didn’t want to talk about it publicly for a long time during the first trimester.” Well, well, now isn’t that a surprise. Mariah Carey seems to be better at keeping secrets than one might have guessed. Still, her previous experience will probably help her make sure she gets it right this time.

A source close to Mariah Carey is not only claiming that the singer is in fact pregnant with hubby Nick Cannon but that the couple is expecting a baby boy. As for the reason for all the secrecy, the pop singer and diva extraordinaire is reportedly suspicious, worried about her age and had to go under fertility treatment to conceive. Mariah is said to make the announcement while promoting her new album ‘Merry Christmas II You’. The insider says “She’s having a boy, but the reason that Mariah didn’t want to say anything is because she is 40, and she’s superstitious. But she’s going to appear on Oprah and The View, so she’s planning on making the announcement soon. They haven’t decided whether they’ll raise the baby in New York or Los Angeles. The fertility drugs were the reason for her weight gain earlier this year. She stopped drinking back in March or April this year.”

Isn’t that a nice way to spend the week-end? The singer was recently scheduled to have a gig in New York, but she showed up for it four hours late because she was unsatisfied with the car that was sent to pick her up. Get this: Foxy Brown asked for a 2010 model SUV and when she saw that the car that arrived was a 2009 model, she just refused to go. And to top it off, when Foxy Brown finally got there, the club was scheduled to close in 30 minutes, but she still didn’t want to perform since the producers refused to pay the remaining thousand dollars promised for the performance. Well, well, it looks like Foxy Brown has managed to give Mariah Carey something else to top off.

Mariah Carey is officially set to release a new Christmas album on November 2, which will include six new songs, covers of classics, and most exciting of all, a brand new mix of ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’. Yay. While I think this has got to be the cheesiest thing ever, it just might be what the singer needs to bring some sort of life to her music career. Mariah has been quite successful with her past Christmas efforts so why not try to recreate the magic? If this still doesn’t work, I say she should just quit already.

Mariah Carey is her own hero as the singer saved herself from going up in flames. While performing in Egypt, the curvaceous diva faced an electrical fire moments before she was about to go on. Mariah then went on her Twitter after everything went down and spilled the details. She said “In Egypt gettting ready to go on stage and suddenly there was a surge of power and an electrical fire started under my feet! Wtf?! Naturally, my emergency instincts kicked in and I put out the flames w/a towel. Lol (yet true).” While she prevented herself from going up in flames, the singer couldn’t do the same for her album.
