Leona Lewis does not travel light
Feb 23, 2010 Leona Lewis
It seems that Leona Lewis is about to embark on her first ever world tour and she’s a bit edgy about it. Thankfully, she’s found the perfect way to get over herself: pack a lot of food for the trip. This is what Leona Lewis said on the matter: “The worst thing is missing home. Like anyone who has to travel for their work, you do get a bit homesick sometimes. So I travel with my PG Tips tea and my baked beans.” Well, certainly that is all any up and coming artist really needs: the baked beans. Leona Lewis is actually setting a ground-breaking example her and is once again proving how well Simon Cowell has taught her.

Leona Lewis Causes Brit Awards Menu Change
Feb 19, 2010 BRIT, Brit Awards, Leona Lewis
Leona Lewis recently attended the Brit Awards which were held at Earls Court in London this past Tuesday. It should be interesting to note that the 24-year old singer, who happens to be a strict vegetarian, made a special request at the ceremony. Leona went on her Twitter to talk about it, saying “I was outraged 2 hear that the Brit Awards were planning 2 serve foie-gras at the ceremony. They hav now removed it from the menu, well done! In case you didn’t know, foie gras is duck that is forced fed in a sickening cruel process and is banned in the U.K.”

Leona Lewis sickened by fur-wearers
Feb 9, 2010 Leona Lewis
Well, well, look at this: the nice little kitty has claws too. It seems that the X Factor graduate Leona Lewis is not at all too shy when it comes to her convictions. Recently she has stated that people who wear furs turn her stomach inside-out. This is what Leona Lewis said on the matter: “I think animals are treated very poorly. When I see people wearing fur it makes me so sick. Especially when I see young singers doing it – that sickens me. When I rocked up to my first photo shoot they had feathers and fur there and ,everything I despise. I had to make it so clear that I just do not go there.” Yes, Leona Lewis is so right about these young singers. There is nothing like experience to teach one right from wrong. It’s a good thing Leona Lewis is here to show them the way.

Leona Lewis turns down photo shoot
Dec 8, 2009 Leona Lewis
It seems the singer has recently refused an offer of 1.5 million dollars to appear in Playboy simply because she is not that confident in herself. This is what Leona Lewis said on the matter: “I’m not that confident! I just don’t think I could pose nude, because I’m not that brave.” Well, maybe for all the wrong reasons, but Leona Lewis really scores extra points for this one: choosing privacy over the million and a half dollars… damn! But, Leona Lewis is probably not worried about money… she has a 500000 dollar gig on New Year’s Eve, that should be enough to pay the bills for a while.

Leona Lewis at EMAs
Nov 12, 2009 Black Eyed Peas, Leona Lewis, MTV
Leona Lewis looked absolutely stunning when she attended the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin last week. The 24-year old singer, who also performed her new single ‘Happy’, also recently returned to the show that made her famous and also to be the said cause for the random unprovoked attack she suffered a couple of weeks back. Leona recently made an appearance on the X Factor’s results show this past weekend. Given the things she’s recently gone through, you can’t even tell that something went wrong in Leona’s life. She’s still as spectacular as ever. She shared the stage with the Black Eyed Peas.

Leona Lewis Cancels Book Tour
Oct 20, 2009 Books, Leona Lewis
In the aftermath of the cowardly attack that she faced at one of her book signings, Leona Lewis has pulled out of any further appearances to promote her autobiography ‘Dreams’. According to the singer’s spokesman “Leona was due to go to Germany today for promo but that has now been cancelled. Leona is obviously shocked after yesterday but is OK.” Fortunately, Leona is still set to begin rehearsals this week for her first major UK show. Stay strong honey! You can’t let the bastards get you down. Show everyone what you’re really made off and just hope that it wouldn’t set anyone else off.

Leona Lewis has no problems with long distance relationships
Jun 17, 2009 Leona Lewis
The singer recently admitted that her time away from home and her boyfriend Lou Al-Chamaa has not affected their relationship at all. Leona Lewis said: “I’m glad to be home, I missed Lou when I was in Los Angeles. Long-distance relationships don’t faze me, though. We’re stronger than ever as we’ve been together so long.” True, but then again, Leona Lewis didn’t spend too much time away from home… and what about poor Lou? How are his needs getting alone now that he’s been left all alone, stranded on that big, blue island called the UK? Maybe he can use a bit of the excitement and passion of LA too, couldn’t he?

Leona Lewis’ new trek-tour
Jun 10, 2009 Concert Tour, Leona Lewis
The singer has recently revealed her ambitious plans of touring for a staggering two years. She said: “I’ll be touring in 2010 and through to the year after. I just can’t wait.” Leona Lewis also mentioned a little something about her upcoming album which she will be promoting during this epic crusade she has planned: “I’ve recorded about 20 songs so far. I’d say it was about halfway there. I’ve been flying back and forth to Los Angeles to record it. The music has a different feel this time. It’s more of a live, heavier sound with a lot of real instruments. It’s something I’ll be able to perform live.” Such a pleasant thought that Leona Lewis’ songs will feature real instruments this time, as opposed to the ghosts playing violins and whatnot she had up until now.

Leona Lewis Has a Stalker
May 7, 2009 Leona Lewis, Singers
Having a stalker seems to be the creepiest thing to be in these days as Leona Lewis has acquired a stalker of her own, causing the British songstress to flee her new Los Angeles home. According to reports, the singer went out to run some errands when she noticed that she was followed home by a strange man. When she got home, she looked out her window to find the man still there and staring at her. Instead of calling the police, Leona left the mansion she’d been living in for just 6 days to go be with her boyfriend in England. A source says “She’s had new electronic gates put in and CCTV installed which links directly to the local police, station. Hopefully that’ll put her mind at ease slightly. She’s also asked Simon Cowell if he can find Lou [her boyfriend who works for a label under Sony] a placement over in the US.”

Leona Lewis metamorphosis underway
Apr 3, 2009 Leona Lewis, Timbaland

The singer will reportedly be teaming up with famous producer Timbaland in order to further her career. A source said the following about Leona Lewis’ upcoming collaboration plans: “Timbaland can’t wait to work with Leona and make her feisty like Beyonce Knowles and Rihanna. The ballads will still be there but the tracks will be racier and there’ll be dance floor anthems too.” Now Leona Lewis can finally become the money-making industry she’s been expecting to become. With Timbaland producing her music, Leona Lewis is sure to roll in the big bucks. And so we can add another diva to the list. Still, Leona Lewis has a lot of catching up to do until reaching the true majesty of the likes of say… Mariah Carey.

Leona Lewis to take US by storm
Mar 18, 2008 Debut, Leona Lewis, New Single, Oprah, iTunes

Oprah Winfrey says Leona Lewis is going to take the US by storm. The ‘Bleeding Love’ singer appeared on Oprah’s US talk show yesterday and blew the audience away with her amazing performance.
Afterwards, Oprah announced: “A star is born!”
Before appearing on the show, Leona – whose single ‘Bleeding Love’ is currently number one in the US iTunes singles chart – spoke of her excitement about meeting one of her idols. She said: “I can’t believe it really, I’m like, ‘Oh my God!’ ”
Leona’s debut album ‘Spirit’ is set for release in the US on April 8, complete with two new bonus tracks masterminded by Akon and Madd Scientist. Earlier this year, Leona was left “overwhelmed” when Whitney Houston said she was a “baby version” of herself.
The British star met her “all-time musical hero” at producer Clive Davis’ Annual Grammy Party in Los Angeles, but could barely speak when she was introduced to Whitney.
She said: “It was amazing, I got to meet my all-time musical hero Whitney Houston – who looked so incredible. Clive introduced us. I don’t think I managed to say much though; I was overwhelmed! I was told afterwards that when I performed she had said to a friend at the record label, ‘My God, she’s a baby me!’ Wow – what a huge compliment!”

X-Factor champion Leona Lewis has already taken the UK by storm and is even one of the best selling artists of 2007 on that side of the pond. Now, she’s set to release her debut album ‘Spirit’ in the US on April 28th. And she has some extra things in store.
Sources say that the singer is currently busy in the studio recording two brand new songs for the US release. One song, ‘Forgive Me’, is by singer/producer Akon and another is ‘Misses Glass’ by cutting edge producers/writers Madd Scientist and Rock City. Additionally, Leona has also re-recorded the video for ‘Bleeding Love’.
