Rumors are running wild about Lauryn Hill and Rohan Marley ever since the R&B singer gave birth to her sixth child. Word is that Rohan abandoned Lauryn while she was pregnant. However, Lauryn wants to set the record straight and has done so via her rep’s Twitter account. She posted “Mr. Marley and I have a long and complex history about which MANY inaccuracies have been reported since the beginning. To speculate without the facts can only cause people to form WRONG conclusions. We both value privacy and for that reason defend and preserve our right to it. Contrary to the numerous reports, Mr. Marley did not abandon me while pregnant with his child. We have had long periods of separation over the years but our 5 children together remain a joy to both of us. Thank you for your concern and I appreciate all of the well wishes regarding the birth of my new son.”

Lauryn Hill reportedly gave birth to her sixth child on Saturday night. The R&B and hip hop singer welcomed a new little boy into the world. According to reports, the poor thing was born with the umbilical cord wrapped around his neck but doctors were able to help the little guy out. Both Lauryn and baby are said to be fine and doing well. I’m glad to hear that. That must have been a scary thing to have gone through. Fortunately, everything’s fine now. Congratulations to Lauryn on the new addition to her brood. I wonder what she named him.

It seems the singer is a pretty busy person when it comes to reproducing the species. Taking the advantage of what was undoubtedly a big crowd at her Detroit show this week-end, Lauryn Hill announced that she was pregnant with her sixth child. This is what the singer said during the show: ”I’m going to be taking time off to give birth.” Well, a bit blunt and probably not exactly what Lauryn Hill’s fans might want to hear from their favorite musician, but still, they will most likely be happy for her nonetheless. One must wonder however where she finds the time to raise all of these children after they are born.

Lauryn Hill showed a complete lack of appreciation for her fans by arriving three hours late to her Brooklyn, New York show earlier this month and the washed up R&B singer had the gall to do it again at a concert in Atlanta. Lauryn’s show was supposed to start at 9PM but she didn’t show up until after midnight. She announced that she wanted to play something different so she forced the band to “speed up the music” and ended up ruining her classic songs. A frustrated fan shared “[Lauryn said] I want crowd participation, but nobody could participate because NOBODY knew the music! Everybody was looking around like ‘WHAT SONG IS THIS???’ It was new music completely. The lyrics were the same, but you had to be on ecstasy to follow the music!… She changed the whole thing. It was a waste of money, and a waste of time. If she did another show in Atlanta, no one would come!”

At a concert in Williamsburg, New York last week, Lauryn Hill made fans wait for three hours at a gig before finally gracing the audience with her presence. Needless to say, fans and even members of her band were pretty mad about the delay. Her keyboard player tapes a sign on his kit that read “I was on time” while two fans in the front row held up signs saying “You just lost one” and “This is insulting”. The R&B singer responded to the fans’ disappointment saying that she was “worth the wait” and motioned for them to leave the club if they were going to continue with their hating. You may have been worth the wait in 1998 Lauryn, but not anymore.

Eminem’s first single ‘Not Afraid’ which comes off of his upcoming album ‘Recovery’ has debuted at the top spot of the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart this week. Only 16 other artists have debuted at number 1, including the likes of Lauryn Hill with ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’ and Diddy’s ‘I’ll Be Missing You’. Michael Jackson was actually the first to debut at the top with ‘You Are Not Alone’ back in 1995. Congratulations to Eminem for joining the ranks of such great artists. If you’re feeling the rapper’s latest single, do you think he’ll manage to deliver a good album too?

Lauryn Hill has cancelled her European Tour dates due to health reasons. I can’t even believe that someone agreed to promote her considering her track record. She’s still a mess! The former Fugees singer was scheduled to headline The Stockholm Jazz Festival along with performances in Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France and Austria. Lauryn’s agent would not elaborate on the health issues that caused the cancellation though. However, the reclusive singer has been known to get crazy sometimes. I wonder what’s wrong with her. Maybe she really is just mental. I don’t think her presence will be missed anyway.
