I think Soulja Boy is starting to get full of himself. The rapper is in the middle of putting some tracks together for his next album called ‘The DeAndre Way’. He has been fortunate enough to be able to get the help of some big name artists like Jay-Z, Eminem and Kanye West. According to Soulja Boy, Kanye gave him some pretty big compliments, saying “When I was in the studio, I played him a couple of joints, and then he just said, ‘Damn, he’s really starting to go hard.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, you feel me?’ … Out of all the artists to get the go-ahead or the co-sign from, it was Kanye.” I don’t buy it.

The voice of a generation has once more proven to the world how big and kind a heart he has. Kanye West apparently took his girlfriend Amber Rose to a restaurant in New York where, after waiting for thirty minutes for their order, they left infuriated and without paying. Unfortunately for Kanye West’s good name, the menu specified that the dish they ordered takes forty-five minutes to prepare. So the yoke’s on him again. Maybe he’ll manage to squeeze himself out of this one too… after all, everybody forgives someone so modest and with such a big heart as Kanye West.

Kanye West and Taylor Swift round two

The dynamic duo will be reunited on Quincy Jones’ remake of the famous track “We are the world”. Finally we will all get to see if Kanye West and Taylor Swift can make up after their unpleasant little incident in September. Kanye West will finally get the chance to repent for his outburst back then… either that or he can “help” his reputation even more. But hey, it’s a charity sing along, maybe he can refrain himself from being, well, himself. Maybe Taylor Swift will give Kanye West a small taste of his own medicine, that might make him go into his corner and thing about what he’s done.

No Invitation for Kanye West

It is being said that Kanye West was not invited to participate in George Clooney’s telethon fundraiser for the earthquake victims in Haiti due to his bad reputation. One of the producers of the special said “After what he said on the Katrina telethon and the way he behaved at the MTV Video Music Awards, everyone agrees it’s just best that he does not participate. Kanye has to make everything about himself. He will do anything to steal the spotlight and, well, this night it’s just not about him.” I can’t say I blame them. However, a rep for MTV has come out and said that the rapper has indeed been invited but that they didn’t hear from him regarding his participation.

Kanye West just announced on his blog that he is going back to the studio to lay down some new tracks. The rapper said “FIRST OF ALL, I WANT TO THANK EVERYBODY FOR THEIR CONSTANT LOVE AND SUPPORT OVER THESE PAST 6 YEARS! I’M SO HAPPY TO BE BACK IN THE STUDIO MAKING NEW MUSIC. I WILL BRING YOU THE BEST I HAVE TO OFFER WITH THE SAME DEDICATION THAT KOBE HAS ON THE COURT… THAT IS OUR RESPONSIBILITY AS THE MODERN DAY ARTISTS AND POETS, TO ACCURATELY REPRESENT WHAT IS HAPPENING NOW.” I wonder if he will write a song about the VMA incident with Taylor Swift.

Kanye West Gives Back

Kanye West helped out at the Los Angeles Mission last weekend by assisting the volunteers and serving lunch to the homeless. The rapper even wore an apron! Kanye, who was there with his girlfriend Amber Rose, said “It’s just important [to give back] when you’re very blessed. “[It's nice] to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during the holidays to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here, [with] my family, and I just thank y’all [the Los Angeles Mission] for allowing us to be a part of this.” Is he turning over a new leaf?

Check out the new music video from Jay-Z and Mr. Hudson for ‘Young Forever’. Mr. Hudson was recently asked what recording the song was like and the singer said “It was really fun to do. We did it in a couple of hours – it’s just this big beat and I’m singing, like, stupidly high. I probably couldn’t do it now with my throat as it is, it’s proper up there on the 50th floor. Kanye certainly has picked me up and said, ‘This guy deserves to be playing in arenas,’ so I thought I might as well make a sound that will belong in those spaces.”

After Chris Brown, you would think that Rihanna would know to stay away from douche bags. However, according to a spy, the Barbadian singer was outrageously flirting with Kanye West at Whisky Mist in London last week. The source said “When Kanye came in, he immediately gave her a huge hug and kiss, and sat down with her. The pair was chatting at length, ignoring everyone else.” It could easily be waved off as a friendly gesture, but soon after, Rihanna was reportedly giving the rapper the benefit of a very private lap dance. In the name of Amber Rose, let this be not true!

Jay-Z rented a mansion in the Dominican Republic resort Casa de Campo for his Scarface-themed 40th birthday and with a star-studded guest list, I’m pretty sure that it was a party to remember. The rapper’s guests included Kanye West, Diddy, Oprah, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, Lil Wayne, Ne-Yo, Kate Hudson, A-rod, and MIA. All the guests showed up courtesy of two private jets to celebrate the big day where they sipped on vintage Dom Perignon and Cristal champagne. Everyone had to leave their phones at the door to ensure that no photographs would leak as well as saying a password for admittance.

R&B singer Omarion is talking a bit of smack about rapper Kanye West’s girlfriend, former stripper Amber Rose. He says that he would never date a woman who’s into guys and girls. Omarion explained “No disrespect, but no Amber Rose for me. Everybody has their past – and don’t get me wrong, I’m not judgmental at all – but I do like a certain amount of class.” Yes, because that statement that you just made wasn’t judgmental at all. I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but I give much props to Kanye for being with Amber. Omarion can only dream of being with a girl with a killer body like Amber’s.

DMX has incident at charity

The rapper was asked to perform at a charity event in Colorado Springs recently. Apparently, he was 90 minutes late and when he arrived the guards refused to let him it. DMX, being the wise and noble man that he is, eventually picked a fight with them and the charity participants rooted for him. Moreover, DMX actually won and did get in, but wasn’t able to dazzle anyone with his musical abilities since all of the equipment was turned off, so he was simply asked to leave. Man, this dude must be trying to get around to be as famous as Kanye West for these incidents! He definitely started out right, all he has to do now is crash the MTV Europe Music Awards and he’s in business. Kanye West might have actually started a new trend with this crashing of events.

Cast members from the Tony Award winning musical ‘In the Heights’ Kyle Beltran, Karen Olivo and Lin-Manuel Miranda sang their own rendition of Jay-Z’s hit song ‘Run this Town’ featuring Rihanna and Kanye West. The video is a creative introduction for the first national tour cast of ‘In the Heights’ which kicks off on Tuesday, October 27 at the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center in Tampa, Florida. Thanks to the TV show ‘Glee’, musical stars doing covers of mainstream music seems to be a growing trend. I like their versions though and sometimes even better than I like the originals.

Kanye West Leads BET Nods

Everyone may still be upset at what Kanye West did to Taylor Swift at the 2009 MTV VMAs but there’s a network which isn’t – BET. The rapper received nine nominations for the fourth annual BET Hip Hop Awards which will air on October 27th. Kanye leads in the nominations with Jay-Z and Lil Wayne following with seven nods each and TI having six nods. People may not be happy with Kanye as a person but they sure are happy with his music. This time, I bet he can hog the spotlight and ruin his image without having to hurt someone else in turn.

Kanye West apologises for ruining Taylor Swift’s big VMAs moment

Backtracking Kanye West has issued an apology to Taylor Swift for ruining her big moment at the MTV Video Music Awards.

The hip hop star took to his blog almost immediately after the show on Sunday night to admit he was in the wrong.

He promised to apologise to Taylor for going on stage during her acceptance speech to claim Beyonce deserved to win the Best Female Video award.

But he insisted: “I’m not crazy yall, I’m just real.”

Kanye blogged: “I’m sooooo sorry to Taylor Swift and her fans and her mom.

“I spoke to her mother right after and she said the same thing my mother would’ve said.

“She is very talented! I like the lyrics about being a cheerleader and she’s in the bleachers!

“I’m in the wrong for going on stage and taking away from her moment!

“Beyonce’s video was the best of this decade! I’m sorry to my fans if I let you guys down!!!!

“I’m sorry to my friends at MTV. I will apologise to Taylor 2mrw. Welcome to the real world!!!!

“Everybody wanna booooo me but I’m a fan of real pop culture!!!

“No disrespect but we watchin’ the show at the crib right now cause… well you know!!!!

“I’m still happy for Taylor!!!! Boooyaaawwww!!!! You are very very talented!!!

Jay-Z tops UK singles chart

Jay-Z has topped the UK singles chart with new track Run This Town.

The rapper has beaten the Sugababes to the top spot.

Jay-Z’s new song, which features Rihanna and Kanye West, is his first number one in the UK.

Run This Town is the first single from the 39-year-old’s new album The Blueprint 3.

There’s a new trailer that recently came out for the video of Rihanna, Kanye West and Jay-Z’s new song ‘Run This Town’. Jay-Z said “The song is about evolution and the progress. You start out as a new artist and you make your way into the game. You climb that mountain and you get to the top and you put your flag down. This is us putting our flag down. This is Roc Nation. Pledge your allegiance. You’ve got to put your flag at the top of the mountain and say we run this town.” The trio of singers and rappers will perform the song on NBC’s The Jay Leno Show on September 14. It’s also being said that they will also perform a day before the show at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

Rihanna will be making her comeback performance on the premiere night of NBC’s The Jay Leno Show on September 14. This will be her first ever performance ever since she was assaulted back in February. The 21-year old Barbadian singer, along with rappers Jay-Z and Kanye West, will perform ‘Run This Town’ from Jay-Z’s new album ‘The Blueprint 3’ which will hit stores on September 11. E! also reports that The Jay Leno show is close to securing Tom Cruise to participate in his new segment ‘The Green Car Challenger’ wherein celebrities race each other in alternative-fuel vehicles. That sounds interesting.

Kanye West Caused Kim Kardashian’s Break Up

Sources are saying that Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush’s split may have been caused by Kanye West’s close relationship with Kim. Allegedly, the football player saw several texts messages from the rapper on Kim’s phone and freaked out on her. An insider said “The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie’s imagination running.” When Reggie confronted Kim about it, their trust and jealousy issues came pouring out. And with their problems out in the open, they realized that they couldn’t continue being together anymore.

A source related the following about Chris Brown’s daring act: “Diddy announced the DJ would be performing a tribute to Michael Jackson. Chris did an amazing impression of Michael’s moonwalk. It wasn’t long before he was dancing with Amber. They were holding hands and making out in the shadows. She had her hand on his leg.” Looks like Chris Brown is trying to spark up something with Kanye West. Maybe he has a master plan of turning his reputation around.
