A party crasher brought Lil Wayne’s soiree to an abrupt end when he unleashed a can of harmful pepper spray into the ventilation system. The guy apparently made his way past security at a Montreal club and hurried to a back room where he had access to the air ducts. The unleashed pepper spray then went through the air of the club and affected all of the attendees. Fortunately, everyone including the rapper was evacuated from the premises immediately and no one was harmed. A rep for Lil Wayne says that the rapper is “okay and gearing for his next stop in Toronto.” Whatever the party crasher’s plan was accomplished nothing.

Big Boi was recently put under arrest for drug possession but it seems that he’s not really phased by it. When the Outkast rapper was released after being thrown behind bars for three counts of possession of a controlled substance and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia, he took to his Twitter to alert his followers that he was free. He jokingly tweeted “Fresh Out Baby! Sh*t they said it was the Love Boat.” I get that he may think that he’s invincible but maybe Big Boi should learn how to be a bit sensible. He did just get arrested on some pretty serious counts. Let’s take this a bit more seriously.

The singer was recently treated to a very lavish baby shower so naturally Mariah Carey received a great deal of presents, probably one more amazing than the other. However, Mariah Carey’s very favorite one was a book made by her fans. This is what the singer had to say of this very special present: “We so had a ‘moment’ in the middle of the shower when they presented the book to me and everyone thought it was the cutest, most thoughtful thing ever! It was the best moment of the night. I can’t wait for the twins to read the messages and feel the love!” Mariah Carey’s children will probably be too busy playing with the golden, mechanized poodles to bother with a silly little fan-made book… at least the parents appreciated it.

A Florida judge is saying that Brian McKnight is the proud father of a 14-year old boy. Miriam Lee filed paternity and child support documents in Orange County, Florida last year, alleging that the R&B singer is the father of her son. Brian has failed to file documents addressing her claim so the judge has pretty much ruled that he is the father. The bad news is that Brian must now fork over 14 years worth of child support which comes to a whopping total of $341,640. A rep for the singer said “The judgment in Florida was a default judgment made without Brian present. He’s still looking to establish paternity, and is awaiting the results of a recent test.”

Rihanna and her dad haven’t been in contact for about a year and the singer revealed that she’s tried to get in touch, only to get no response. When reports surfaced recently that the Barbadian babe’s dad has been making efforts for a reconciliation, Rihanna said “That sounds very strange to me, seeing as I’ve been the one trying to reconcile with him forever…He has my number.” The two had a falling out after her dad got drunk while on tour with her and created an even larger gap when he spoke out to the media during the whole Chris Brown fiasco back in February.

Beyonce and her mother, Tina Knowles, are launching a new junior label, Sasha Fierce for Dereon, to capitalize on back to school fashion. The collection, which is inspired by the singer’s alter ego, includes sportswear, outerwear, handbags, footwear, eyewear, lingerie and jewellery. Some items include a one shoulder dress, black bodysuit, fake leather jacket with oversized collar, leggings and destructed jeans with mesh and lace details lining the ripped material. Why you would want those things in your closet, I have no idea. Tina commented on the new line saying it is “edgier and trendier and reflects Sasha Fierce’s daring and outgoing attitude.”

Whoever Kanye West is dating just got herself a serious wardrobe upgrade. It has been reported that the rapper and a member of his entourage rolled through the Deliciously Vintage women’s clothing store in Chicago last week and that Kanye spent over $5,000 on dresses and accessories. A source close to the situation says that the rapper was actually looking for inspiration pieces for a new clothing line that he’s launching. And when Kanye was asked if the clothes were for anyone special, he replied “Come on now, you know who it’s for!” It has also been reported that Kanye has gotten back together with stripper/model Amber Rose so they may be for her.

Beyonce’s father and manager, Matthew Knowles has released a statement in response to the sound board clip of his daughter supposedly singing very off key. He said “If no one took the time to look at the biggest Inauguration in the history of America then shame on them. If no one took the time to listen to Beyonce sing ‘America the Beautiful’ and ‘At Last’ at the Neighborhood Ball for the first dance of President Obama and the First Lady, and they question Beyonce’s vocal ability, they’ve gotta be an idiot. If no one took the time to look at the biggest Inauguration in the history of America then shame on them. Usher has re-hired his mother just over a year after he fired her. The ‘Love In This Club’ singer – who ditched his manager mom Jonetta Patton in May 2007 – has now employed her for a second time in a bid to kickstart the success of his latest record ‘Here I Stand’.

The pair released a statement saying: “Usher has dissolved his management arrangement with Benny Medina and has re-engaged Jonetta Patton as his manager.”

Usher’s decision to get rid of Jonetta last year was reportedly due to a rift between Jonetta and Usher’s wife Tameka Foster.

At the time, Usher said: “This is great for me because it means I now get to have my mother strictly as my mother, with no added pressure.”

However, executives at Usher’s label, Jive Records, were said to be concerned about Jonetta’s sacking. A source said: “They think Jonetta’s done an incredible job with his career.”

‘Here I Stand’ sold just 433,000 copies in its first week, compared to Usher’s 2004 album ‘Confessions’ which sold 1.1 million.

When you lose someone you love, you just can’t help but grieve. And that’s what the Weslyn ‘Mama Wes’ Monroe, the mom of the late Pimp C, did in an interview with KFDM News.“C’s business manager found his body in his hotel room in Los Angeles and we know he died in his sleep. Past that, we don’t know anything. This is a terrible shock. Mama is just a little tougher than most, but I break too.”

She also added how she has received a great amount of support from family, friends, artists and other entertainers. “The phone won’t stop ringing. It feels good, if anything can feel good now.”
