Dr. Dre Making Speakers

Instead of giving perhaps the most anticipated hip hop album ever, “Detox”, a release date, Dr. Dre is spending his time on promoting his new Beats by Dre speaker collection. The collection is already famous for selling headphones and computer sound packages, but now, the rapper has decided to expand to the car market, specifically Chrysler. While unveiling the new Chrysler 300 Sedan at the New York Auto Show last week, the car makers also unveiled its new speaker system, designed by Dr. Dre. He will also be seen in the cars new commercial to promote the brand. Seriously, can we get back to the music?

New Video from Dr. Dre – Kush

10 years after his last album, Dr. Dre is finally back as the music video for Dr. Dre’s new single “Kush” has recently premiered. The Snoop Dogg and Akon-assisted track serves as the official lead single from the rap legend’s upcoming album “Detox” which is due out in early 2011. “Kush” currently sits at #58 on the Billboard Hot 100 which is respectable considering that it hasn’t had any promotion. As for the video, it was directed by Joseph Kahn and he delivered an amazing clip for all of us. Now that the music video is out, I wonder if the song can climb higher on the charts.

Dr. Dre Ditches Ice Cube

Ice Cube originally planned on including his collaboration with Dr. Dre on his new album ‘I am the West’. But after the iconic rapper went missing during the recording process, Ice Cube is likely to nix the music. He said “Dre went M.I.A.; I don’t know where he at. If y’all find him, tell him to give me a call. It’s cool, he went M.I.A. on Snoop too. Everybody wanna work with him, so it’s up to him on who he wants to work with, who he don’t wanna work with.” He also spoke about how his and Dr. Dre’s relationship has changed over the years, saying “It’s a distant relationship. It’s been distant ever since I left N.W.A., so I don’t expect that to change. We all went our separate ways back then, we was youngsters. We’re grown now. That is what it is. It reminds me of, like, somebody I hung out [with] in high school a lot, but now that you grown, you talk to every now and then. That’s kind of how I look at it.”

Dr. Dre Settles Lawsuit

Dr. Dre has finally settled some major beef with a recording studio that accused him of flaking on a $1.2 million bill. In the lawsuit filed in LA County Superior Court, Paramount Recording Studios claimed that the veteran rapper never paid for studio time between 2009 and 2010. But the two sides have finally agreed on a settlement. A lawyer for PRS says “The costs have been paid in full … the recording studio is happy with the amicable outcome.” Hopefully, Dr. Dre’s next big move is finally releasing his incredibly long awaited album ‘Detox’. I almost forgot that he even has that.

Dr. Dre wants to release an album about the solar system

Dr. Dre wants to release an instrumental album inspired by the solar system. The rapper is already working on this material, which will be “an interpretation of how each planet sounds. “An instrumental album is what I wish for a long time,” says Dre. The artist intends to name the album “The Planets”. The date of the release is to be announced soon. Dr. Dre struggled for years to release the album “Detox.”. The disc was originally scheduled to appear in 2004, but its launch was delayed several times. According to nme.com, the album will not appear on the market until 2011.

TI’s Liquor

Fragrances are for pansies and liquor is for rappers. Ludacris and Diddy have their own lines of alcohol and two new rappers that are getting into the mix. TI is apparently going to use his finely-tuned palette in conjunction with Remy Martin bosses to launch a TI signature blend cognac. If that’s not enough to fill your home bar, Dr. Dre is also set to release his own cognac and sparkling vodka too. Celebrity fragrances are a thing of the past. Rapper brand booze might just end up being the new trading cards soon. I’ll trade a Diddy for a Dr. Dre.

Dr. Dre Lawsuit

The war has been brewing for 14 years and now, Dr. Dre is finally ready to head out for battle. Sources are saying that the rapper is finally taking on Death Row Records with a lawsuit claiming that he has never seen a penny from his album ‘The Chronic’. He says that the stopped receiving money from the label once he left and that Death Row has been making a fortune by selling digital copies of ‘Chronic’, ‘Chronic Re-Lit’ and his greatest hits album without paying him anything. Now, Dr. Dre wants them to pay up. I find it quite interesting that he decides to sue the label when mogul Suge Knight is no longer on board.

Eminem is Number 1

Even is the single ‘Crack a Bottle’ by the rapping powerhouse trio of Eminem, Dr. Dre and 50 Cent is somewhat of a dud considering the hits they have among them, the song somehow managed to set a new Billboard record for first week download sales. The boring comeback track from Eminem and company is the new #1 song in America as it stole the top spot from the previous opening week record holders, TI and Rihanna. Am I missing something with that song? I just don’t get how it got the top spot. Maybe people just got curious is Eminem is still the same douche bag he was years ago. I bet people will stop caring in a few days.

Dr. Dre’s Son Died From On Overdose

As per updated reports released by coroners on Friday Rap mogul Dr. Dre’s namesake son died from an overdose of heroin and morphine, according to updated coroners reports released.

Andre Young Jr. died at the age of twenty in August of 2008. Preliminary reports suggested that the reasons behind his death were from unknown causes. But further and detailed investigations have now brought the truth out in the open and the Los Angeles County’s Coroner revealed that his passing has been ruled “an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication.”

Frankly these are never going to learn from others’ mistakes, the children of these super rich people find $500 for a gram or pinch of heroin very cool and that’s basically the attitude that has brought about these situations.

I bet ya guys that if heroin and morphine were selling for a dollar per ten grams no one, really no one would ever touch and it would be in the category of 3rd world users stuff.
If it would be that cheap then these rich people would compare it to cigarettes made of tobacco leaves and would dump the thing completely. Merely a wish I know will not happen.

Eminem is making album called ‘Relapse’

Eminem says that he has no desire for fame even though he’s making a new album called ‘Relapse’. The rapper says he doesn’t really want a comeback but that he just wants to remind people of how he raps. He says that he feels content with what he has accomplished thus far but he also admits that he like the attention, just not too much of it. Eminem says he’s excited to get back out there after collaborating with Dr. Dre for the past 5 months on brand new material.
