Keri Hilson Performs on So You Think You Can Dance

Keri Hilson was on hand to “perform” on the stage of So You Think You Can Dance last night. If you’re wondering why a certain word is in quotation marks, it should be obvious when you watch the clip. The R&B singer basically lip synched and danced her way through her performance of her latest single “Lose Control”, without collaborator Nelly. The Stargate-produced track serves as the fourth single from Keri’s album “No Boys Allowed”. Regardless of the playback thing, Keri actually delivered an energetic performance. I give her sexy dancing two thumbs up and a shake of the head for her singing.

Welcome Back Janet Jackson

Welcome Back Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson is officially back and she is on fire! The youngest Jackson singer is ready to toss her hat back in the ring of the music industry with a new album coming out next year. The lead single has already leaked on the internet and it is hot!

‘Feedback’ is the name of the comeback song and here’s some feedback for her, it’s absolutely great! It’s not retro, it’s not futuristic – it’s just now. It’s current, it’s fresh and it’s fun. It’s a classic ‘Janet’ song. It’s also quite smart of her to lead the album with a dance track too.

Sean Kingston – Album Review

The 17-year-old MC known as Sean Kingston got put on the 21st-century way–through his myspace page. On his impressive self-titled debut full-length, Kingston blends elements of contemporary R&B, dancehall reggae, and radio-friendly pop over 14 tracks, all the while flowing with hungry, upstart energy.

The stand-out track and debut single, “Beautiful Girls,” quickly became the summer jam of 2007, with its infectious beats and clever sampling of Ben E. King’s classic “Stand By Me.” The rest of the album’s thump comes courtesy of West Coast producer J.R., and with a tracklist light on guest stars (Paula DeAnda, Vybz Kartel, and Kardinal Offishal), SEAN KINGSTON heralds the coming of an assured young artist brimming with potential.
