Interesting Collaboration with Swizz Beatz

During a recent interview, Swizz Beatz announced that he has recorded a song called “Skyscrapers”. I know, it’s not that interesting. What’s interesting about the track is that the singer/producer actually collaborated with rapper Kanye West and U2’s lead singer Bono on it. The track will be featured on Swizz’s upcoming album “Haute Living”. I can see Swizz and Kanye collaborate but not Bono so I’m definitely interested to see how this one comes out. Do you think that the three of them made a good track or is just too weird a combo for you? I wish I could hear it soon.

Bono is back on stage

After an absence of two months, Bono is back on stage. U2 is back on the band’s world tour, about which the manager said it would be most profitable in history. U2 concerted on Friday evening in Torino Olympic stadium, and Bono walked, ran and danced on stage, making the fans forget that he is 50 years old and has spent the past 10 weeks recovering after surgery spine, which took place in May in Germany. “The problem is that I don’t know very well how to temper myself. At some point, you have to let the song dictate the rhythm” declared Bono. Bono thanked fans for their letters and e-mails wishing him speedy recovery.

Jay-Z and U2 working together

The two musical giants seem to have combined their forces in order to do a charity event to raise money for Haiti. The Edge from U2 revealed the following about this new master plan to help the victims of the terrible disaster that befell Haiti: “Bono got a call from a producer, Swizz. He and Jay-Z wanted to do something for Haiti. So Bono came up with a phrase on the phone and last night we were here, we wrote a song, finished, recorded, and sent it back to them. So, that might be the next thing you hear from us.” How come Jay-Z and Bono don’t just take the production money and go hand in hand to Haiti, donate it for whatever it is needed and start helping out? No, they have to put on a show… after all, this Swizz fellow has to make a living too somehow, doesn’t he?

Chris Martin and Bono team up

The pair of famous rockers has recently teamed up in order to record a song that mocks Live Aid. The song will be included on Sacha Baron Cohen’s upcoming movie “Bruno”. A source said the following about the recording at which both Chris Martin and Bono participated: “Chris Martin was laughing throughout the recording and only just managed to get his lines out. ‘Bruno…’ promises to be the funniest and most outrageous film this year and in it Sacha’s character releases a brilliantly cheesy but subversive single – ‘Dove Of Peace’ – which mocks the likes of Band Aid. It runs close to the bone but it’s very tongue-in-cheek.” So the prophetic day when Bono and Chris Martin would team up finally came. And moreover, they’re doing it to mock a charity organization. It’s probably not that big a deal for Chris Martin, but Bono really is going off the rail a bit with this one. The end must be nigh.

Bruce Springsteen, Bono, Beyonce to perform in Obama pre-inaugural

Big stars like Bruce Springsteen, Bono and Beyonce are set to perform during US President-elect Barack Obama’s pre-inauguration concert on January 18 at Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. The list of celebrities who wanted to perform for Obama’s pre-inaugural and actual inauguration ceremony is endless but only a few were chosen due to the sensitivity of the event and the very tight security procedures.

The show is aptly titled “We Are The One: The Obama Inaugural Celebration” considering the united front shown by the various big stars who will grace the show. To join Springsteen, Bono and Beyonce on stage are Sheryl Crow, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, John Mellencamp, Shakira, Josh Groban and Usher. You can also watch the show in any cable station beginning 7 PM. Event producer George Stevens said it took only 45 minutes to get three yeses from Garth Brooks, Bono and Springsteen when they were asked to perform in the show.
