It looks like the happy daddy of two is none too busy to release a new music video. Nick Cannon’s new music video is for the song “Famous” and it also features Akon. The song is basically a Hip-Hop/Electropop piece, with Akon’s vocals being the really only source of true melody in the song. The music video is basically a mash-up of a few party scenes and Nick Cannon supposedly parodying some viral videos… and even a certain character from one of them is featured in the video. All in all, there isn’t really any seriousness here, but it might just prove to be a bit fun to watch, once or twice at least.

Akon will be dropping his new album “Stadium” later this 2011 but the project’s lead single “Angel” has already been released. So far, the track has managed to peak at the #56 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 without any promotional efforts, so it’s not doing bad at all. Now, a new track from the hip hop singer, which is rumored to appear on his album, has leaked. It’s called “Drop Down” and features rapper Ludacris. It’s a killer dance track with a crazy beat. I also think Ludacris was the perfect choice to feature on this song. However, I think the song lacks originality and fear that it’s actually copied.

Katy Perry had three colorful outfits for her performances for the 2010 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show held this past Wednesday at New York City’s Lexington Avenue Armory. The 26-year old pop singer performed her hit song ‘Firework’ right before the models walked the runway during the ‘Game On’ scene. Joining Katy as a performer was Akon, who sang his song ‘Angel’ during the ‘Heavenly Bodies’ section. If you want to see what else took place on the show, tune in to CBS on November 30 at 10 PM when the show airs. I’m sure a lot of guys will be tuning in to see that one.

In Sri Lanka where the singer is due to have a concert some few hundred angry protesters started smashing up Akon’s sponsor’s building because of his new video, “Sexy Chick”, which shows some half-naked women dancing in front of a Buddha statue. It seems the rioters broke a few windows, smashed some cars and even injured some of the employees. Akon might be having second thoughts about his concert there right about now… but anything for the fans, right? It is ironic however that those versed in the arts of inner peace can be so violent for their ends. Quite the little paradox they have going on there.
