50 Cent is apparently facing a lawsuit for employing known violent criminal Dwayne McKenzie. The lawsuit was spurred from an incident at the rapper’s mansion, where Dwayne invited over some women for a party and then made “graphic and vulgar sexual requests” to partygoer Vasti Ortiz. When she didn’t go along and tried to leave, she claims that Dwayne forced another woman at the party to beat her. According to the lawsuit, Vasti believes that 50 Cent should have known about Dwayne’s violent history, and as a result shouldn’t have hired the man and should be held responsible for the incident. Seeing as this all went down at the hip hop artist’s mansion, I can see where he can be held accountable.

On September 11th, Drake released on his blog two new songs: “Free Spirit” and “Club Paradise”. They will not be included on the album “Take care”.
The rapper put on his blog two free songs for his fans. “Free spirit” is a collaboration with Rick Ross and “Club Paradise” is named after a club in Toronto and produced by Noah “40″ Shebib.
“Release this song for my man Avery… it was his favorite song at the recordings,” said Drake.
“I like to be a free spirit. Some don’t like that, but that’s the way I am.” Drake said citing Princess Diana.
About the album “Take that”, Drake said: “I lean over as many points as I can when writing a song. I write a part and where many would stop, I keep going, thus seeking to make the song flow. So I like to always put myself to the test and get the best out of me.”
Growing up around and being one of the rappers to make rap music about issues that matter, Ice T is disappointed with the direction that most hip hop artists are taking their music. In a recent interview, the veteran rapper said “I want to see some little motherf**kers get together like a Public Enemy and give these fools a wake up call like, ‘F**k this jewelry and cars bulls**t,’ and bring it back to Armageddon! Don’t get it twisted – the people that are making music now, I’m not mad at them. People think I’m mad at pop music [but] I’m not. I’m just saying the conscious music is lacking. There’s no roots… Where are those kids that are gonna come out and really push the envelope? N.W.A did F**k tha Police, we were going hard, we were getting arrested. Now everybody is trying to stay in their nice little safe bubble and I miss the edgy music. That’s all I’m saying. Saying you sell drugs, that’s not edgy to me, let’s talk about some issues. Lupe Fiasco. Lupe Fiasco does it. I’ve listened to some of his stuff. He’s not afraid…” I actually agree with him on this one.
Apart from some small video/TV gigs over the past couple of years, there’s really not much of Snoop Dogg’s acting career to speak of since the movie “Soul Plane”. If you’re going through withdrawals from snoop as an actor, you’ll be pleased to know that the rapper has officially been hired to stars in “The Legend of Fillmore Sim”, a biopic about the blues singer/guitarist/former pimp. Co-producer Alan Ames said “This film will span decades, from Slim’s emergence as a musician, to his fascination with the fast life, through his years of incarceration and his redemption.” It sounds like an interesting project.
Rihanna was named the sexiest woman alive by Esquire magazine.
The editors believe that the famous artist from Barbados magazine has incredible sex appeal that she manages to put at work every time, whether it’s a naughty show, be it a gala event.
Rihanna has taken over the relay from the sexiest woman alive last year, Minka Kelly. On this occasion, Rihanna has made a very provocative photo shoot.
In other news, Rihanna dropped the idea of rereleasing the album ‘Loud’. Instead, she already started work on a brand new album.
`You (No. my fans) are so cool, that you deserve something new,’ Rihanna said to her followers on Twitter.
TI’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, has announced that the rapper has been returned to a halfway house to complete the remainder of his prison sentence. Upon his arrival at the halfway house, his lawyer released a statement saying “We have good reason to believe that this favorable result was reached because of the proactive and assertive approach taken to protect T.I.’s rights by providing B.O.P officials and the media with reliable and accurate information and that T.I. did not intend to violate his transfer furlough or any other B.O.P rules en route from the prison facility in Arkansas to the halfway house in Atlanta …T.I. will be released from custody on Sept. 29, and then will be supervised by the U.S. Probation Office for a period of 1 year.” I’m glad that’s sorted.
Jason Derulo has under two weeks until he releases his sophomore album “Future History”, due out on September 27th, but the pop singer is continuing to offer new promo singles via iTunes to keep up the hype for his upcoming record. Jason dropped two new tracks from the album recently, “Pick Up the Pieces” and “Breathing”. The first is a nice mid tempo drums-driven tune with a catchy hook. It’s a decent album track. As for the latter, I love it! I thought it was going to be a ballad from the title but it’s actually a chill out house record. I love the lyrics, the vibe and the production. I never knew he had it in him to do that type of song. Check them out.

A troubled man named Jeff Choi is currently under psychiatric evaluation in Los Angeles after he allegedly threatened to shoot Ne-Yo in the head following a series of other threats he made against Sony Music Entertainment execs, including Clive Davis. Choi made the threats because he believes that Sony has been releasing songs about him without getting his permission first. He actually wanted $800,000 in return for the safety of everyone but instead, Sony contacted the FBI so now he’s in a mental health facility and is being prosecuted for the alleged threats. Sony has also filed a restraining order against Choi.
Drake took to his Twitter account this past weekend to announce that he was releasing some free music for his fans that day. The Canadian singer/rapper dropped three new tracks called “Club Paradise”, which was produced by Noah “40” Shebib; “Free Spirit”, which features Rick Ross; and “Round of Applause”, a remix to a Waka Flocka original. Personally, “Club Paradise” is my favorite. Word has it that none of these tracks will be on Drake’s upcoming album “Take Care”, due out on October 24th. But if you like them, you can head over to his OVO blog at octobersveryown.blogspot.com to download them.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, TI was recently released early from prison and transported to a halfway house. But in a matter of days, the rapper was sent back into the pokey for allegedly misleading officers about the method of transportation he chose for travelling. However, photos have recently surfaced showing TI being walked to the bus by a prison guard, making those reports utter crap. Then there were reports that he was sent back because there were VH1 producers for his reality TV show in the bus when he wasn’t supposed to conduct business while in transit. Those people reportedly tried to testify otherwise but they kept being ignored. TI’s lawyers are now saying that they believe that prison officials were out to get the rapper, especially with the officials changing their story around. It’s really starting to look like that. If they were planning to send him back in anyway, why release him early in the first place?
