New Video from Lupe Fiasco – Words I Never Said

Lupe Fiasco recently premiered the music video for “Words I Never Said” on MTV. The Skylar Grey-assisted track is the official second single from the rapper’s latest album “Lasers”. Alex Da Kid has done it once again with his collaborative productions and gave Lupe a winner for a song. Skylar’s vocals are simply stunning. It’s about time that he started promoting this. As for the visual, it fits the controversial political and socioeconomic topics in Lupe’s song really well, which pretty much says that it’s a great video. I loved it. Check it out and tell me what you think.

New Song from JLo – Hypnotico

There’s another song out from pop singer Jennifer Lopez’s seventh studio album “Love?”. The track is called “Hypnotico” and it’s an electro-dancehall smash that was originally intended for the debut album of Jamaican artist Tami Chynn back in 2008. However, that album never saw the light of day. 3 years later, JLo was passed the song. The RedOne-produced and Lady Gaga co-written number is an absolute banger. I love it. RedOne has further polished the production and JLo has changed the lyrics a bit to adapt to her Latina roots. Sorry Tami, but the song sounds like it was meant for JLo from day one.

50 Cent Talks Chelsea Handler and Ciara

50 Cent recently had an interview for the April/May edition of Vibe Magazine. While the rapper’s music was surely a topic of conversation, 50 Cent took a considerable amount of time talking about two important ladies in his life this past year – Chelsea Handler and Ciara. Both relationships have been tumultuous, with his fling with Chelsea fizzling out and his constant Twitter feud with Ciara. Despite things going south in both relationships, he had nothing but an air of class when talking about them. I guess someone has learned the value of the phrase “If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”

Cher needs to come out with an exciting track to keep the fans’ attention on her. I can’t wait to hear the music she comes up with? Release something already!

Dr. Dre Making Speakers

Instead of giving perhaps the most anticipated hip hop album ever, “Detox”, a release date, Dr. Dre is spending his time on promoting his new Beats by Dre speaker collection. The collection is already famous for selling headphones and computer sound packages, but now, the rapper has decided to expand to the car market, specifically Chrysler. While unveiling the new Chrysler 300 Sedan at the New York Auto Show last week, the car makers also unveiled its new speaker system, designed by Dr. Dre. He will also be seen in the cars new commercial to promote the brand. Seriously, can we get back to the music?

Lil B Getting Death Threats

After Lil B decided to name his album “I’m Gay”, the rapper has been receiving death threats. The artist has spoken about it saying “People been hitting me up like, ‘I’m gonna bash your head in,’ ‘you f—-t,’ ‘I’m gonna kill you.’ I got major love for the gay and lesbian community, and I just want to push less separation and that’s why I’m doing it. I hope GLAAD sees that I’m taking initial steps to break barriers.” According to Lil B, he’s referring to being happy when he named his album that and insists that it’s not some sort of gimmick. The album will be released on iTunes within the next month or so and he is sticking by that title despite the death threats he’s receiving.

The Voice Judges Cover Gnarls Barkley – Crazy

NBC’s new talent show “The Voice”, which will try to rival with TV titan “American Idol”, will premiere next Tuesday. For this purpose, the network has recently released a promotional performance video where the four judges, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Cee-Lo Green and Blake Shelton, perform the Gnarls Barkley hit “Crazy”. It’s amazing! Christina’s voice still gives me goosebumps. Adam did his thing on the drums. Blake was not in his zone though. And then Cee-Lo – well it’s his song so he obviously did amazing on it. Make sure to check out the show next week. It has a different format so it could be interesting.

Diddy managed to find himself a party location

This is probably going to make him drop his recent acting ambitions for a spell. It seems that Diddy’s high after-party rates and high-end conditions have been matched. Of course, Diddy’s after-party isn’t going to be taking place in New York, but in New Jersey and the rapper is going to make an impressive $75, 000 out of this party alone. It’s good to see that somebody finally managed to step up and give Diddy what he wanted. This means that the Diddy-Dirty Money will go on without any hindrance and Diddy is probably going to be a lot happier about it too.
