Michael Jackson fans might be upset when they find out that the much hyped ‘This is It’ film, documenting the late singer’s final tour rehearsals, seems to have gotten a bit of help from the past. According to new reports, music experts are saying that some of the sound bytes on the movie are actually from years before. Former BBC senior studio manager Andrew Rose claims “Throughout the film sudden changes in vocal timbre suggest the dropping in of older recordings which may have required significant digital manipulation to fit the new live backing.” The shocking part in all this is that officials at Sony Pictures admit to altering the film. It’s not like it’s going to hurt them now as the film has already grossed over $200 million.

After been accused by several artists that he has stolen their music, will.i.am from Black Eyed Peas has apparently decided to finally pay up for his misconducts. And the first to reap the benefits of having his music stolen by will.i.am is Adam Freeland who wrote the following on his Facebook page: Just settled w/ Black eyes Peas who ripped off Mancry. If you see me in the next wk say ‘Party all the time’ I’ll buy you a beer. Woo hoop!” Well, that’s one way to sell your stuff, especially for a lot more than its worth. It seems that the Black Eyed Peas might want to reconsider having will.i.am as a member since it is doubtful that money came out of his pocket alone.

Beyonce was in London, England recently and she was accompanied by loads of stuff. According to The Mirror, the 28-year old singer stayed in the presidential suite at Lowry Hotel, the first five star hotel in the Manchester area while she booked another room for luggage about 30 miles away at the cheaper yet still chic boutique hotel, Malmaison, Liverpool. A source said “She had seven suitcases, three hand luggage bags and two boxes, all for her mammoth gig. In the cases there were apparently 14 dresses, lots of shoes, make-up and 25 wigs.” If she was staying at the presidential suite, wouldn’t it have had enough room for all of that?

After the disturbing twitter messages and the brake he finally took with the permission of his managers, it seems Chipmunk is back on track as he recently performed live during Rihanna’s latest appearance in London. Chipmunk said the following about coming back to the stage: “I’m on a trip back to normality. I’m in good health and it’s all good. Things got a bit crazy and I needed to take a break to sort my head out but I feel better already.” Right, and getting the chance to open for Rihanna’s performance had nothing to do with it, right? He’s a smart one, that Chipmunk!

The rapper was recently forcefully determined to part with 17 000 dollars worth of jewelry in a nightclub car park. One of Tinchy Stryder’s spokespeople commented the following on the event: “Tinchy and his entourage were not involved in any fighting.” It seems Tinchy Stryder’s entourage confronted the robbers, or at least that’s what the sources say. He should really get himself some decent bodyguards, not rely on an “entourage” to protect him… and maybe not wearing the bling out in the open too much might impair such occurrences, after all, it’s not like anybody can identify Tinchy Stryder to be the famous rapper that he is if the man doesn’t stand out by glowing half of the time.

In her upcoming interview on ABC with Robin Roberts, Janet Jackson reveals that she places the blame for Michael Jackson’s death on his doctor, Conrad Murray. The singer said “He was the one who was administering. I think he should be responsible.” Janet also talks about the day she found out about the King of Pop’s death. She said “I told them to call me back when they got to the hospital. And I remember thinking, nobody’s calling me back, so I tried calling again and that’s how I found out he was no longer… I couldn’t believe it. It just didn’t ring true to me. It felt like a dream… its still difficult for me to believe. Its, you know, you have to accept what it is.”

According to Bryant Management, someone is trying to pass themselves off as CEO Cortez Bryant, the manager for artists Lil Wayne and Drake. The company, who are already working to find the imposter, says “It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant for financial gain through false bookings of his clients, specifically the much buzzed-about recording artist Drake.” The poser has used a fake Twitter account which he uses to secure and pocket deposits for fake bookings and appearances. Fake appearances huh? Maybe Lil Wayne can use that as his excuse for not showing up to his shows. Everyone knows that the rapper needs a good one.

Lil Kim is allegedly one of the biggest flakes on the planet. It’s being said that the rapper bailed on 6 gigs after getting her $20,000 fee and then blamed it all on a nosebleed. Sources say that a company called Abstrakt Visions Entertainment paid her $20,000 up front to make 6 club appearances in London between November 7 to 14. Kim later said that she suffered a nosebleed in her hotel room the night before the first show then got a call from the rapper the next day saying that she’s heading back to the USA. Kim’s camp says that the nosebleed is true but the real reason she bailed was because the promoters had poor planning skills. They also say that the money will be used to cover travel expenses but she might want to invest in a lawyer as Abstrakt is planning to file a lawsuit.

Yet another rapper ends up serving his country well. It seems Gucci Mane found it fun to not stay within the terms of his probation after pleading guilty for assault back in 2005 and he has now been sentenced to twelve months in prison. Apparently, after the settlement in 2005, Gucci Mane worked long and hard on his music and managed to get out of the underground and come closer to the mainstream. What a dazzling performance… too bad Gucci Mane will again be spending a bit of time down under. Oh well, the art must go on regardless of what sacrifices must be made.

Two guys who sometimes perform with the Wu Tang Clan rap group have been arrested in Arkansas, on a tour bus that cops say was filled with marijuana smoke. Ronald Bean aka DJ Mathematics and Patrick Charles aka Streetlife were busted after a routine traffic stop. According to a police report, officers opened the bus door and “could immediately smell the odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior of the bus … the bus was filled with smoke and the odor of marijuana.” Cops claim that there were “marijuana blunts and residue were laying in plain sight” and that there were 110 ecstasy tablets hidden inside a can and $8615 in cash. 8 men in total were arrested on suspicion of drug possession with intent to sell.

R&B singer Omarion is talking a bit of smack about rapper Kanye West’s girlfriend, former stripper Amber Rose. He says that he would never date a woman who’s into guys and girls. Omarion explained “No disrespect, but no Amber Rose for me. Everybody has their past – and don’t get me wrong, I’m not judgmental at all – but I do like a certain amount of class.” Yes, because that statement that you just made wasn’t judgmental at all. I can’t believe that I’m saying this, but I give much props to Kanye for being with Amber. Omarion can only dream of being with a girl with a killer body like Amber’s.

Ray J is obviously still harboring some hard feelings towards his sex tape partner Kim Kardashian. The Z-list singer recently had an interview where he was asked about his previous relationships with singer Whitney Houston and Kim. Ray J had nothing but nice things to say about Whitney but he couldn’t even bring himself to say Kim’s name. He simply referred to her as “the other girl”. Don’t be bitter just because her reality show has 3 times the audience as yours Ray J. heck, I didn’t even know he had a show. And oh yeah, let’s not forget that Kim kicked his but to the curb.

Amerie recently had an interview with The Urban Daily to talk about her new album ‘In Love & War’ which is already in stores. The 31-year old singer said “The album, for the most part, is about the hard times of relationships. There’s no song that idealizes love…it’s more of a realistic portrayal of being with someone other than yourself.” I don’t think that there’s an artist who hasn’t put out an album revolving around love, regardless of their view on it. When asked whether the Grammy nominee believes that all is fair in love and war, she replied “I think so! Human nature is human nature and the heart wants what the heart wants.”

Rihanna’s comeback seems to be in full swing as the singer made a surprise appearance at Jay-Z’s concert at UCLA last Sunday. The performance marks the first time in a very long time that the Barbadian singer sang live. And mind you, she sounded absolutely amazing. Rihanna took the stage just in time for her collaboration with the rapper on ‘Run This Town’. Rihanna also had a solo performance of her new song ‘Hard’. That should get her comeback going. I just think that she still needs to up the ante regarding her new music because her singles are mediocre at best.

Rap diva Lil’ Kim allegedly bailed on a series of London gigs after pocketing her GBP 12,000 fee – all because she had a nosebleed.

The hip-hop star travelled to London for a string of appearances at nightclubs across the capital between November 7-14.

Abstrakt Visions Entertainment (AVE), which organised the gigs, had handed over the $20,000 fee upfront and promised a further $20,000 later on.

But they say the 34-year-old New Yorker pulled out of the first gig – at Den & Centro club – at the last minute, claiming to have suffered a nosebleed in her room at the plush Millennium London Mayfair hotel.

Lil’ Kim and her entourage then reportedly jetted back to the US the next day.

AVE says it is now considering suing the star.

“After this, no promoter in London will book her again,” said a spokesman for the promoters.

“We had hundreds of Lil’ Kim’s fans packed in the club and waiting to see her. They weren’t happy after paying up to GBP 20 per ticket.

“We got her the make-up people that she’d requested and everyone was waiting for her.”

However, Lil’ Kim’s rep has defended her client’s actions, alleging the real reason she pulled out of the appearances was because of the promoters’ poor planning – insisting they failed to give her a proper schedule.

Despite his upcoming tour not being able to sell as many tickets as any of his camp would like, Chris Brown’s album ‘Graffiti’ is actually getting pushed for an earlier released. The R&B singer’s album is now going out on December 8th, a week before its original release date. The release is coming on the heels of his upcoming ‘Fan Appreciation Tour’ which kicks off on November 14 in Houston, Texas. Yeah, he should appreciate his fans that do go to see him in concert because it’s likely that there’s only just a few of them left. They should just leak his album altogether.

Leona Lewis looked absolutely stunning when she attended the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin last week. The 24-year old singer, who also performed her new single ‘Happy’, also recently returned to the show that made her famous and also to be the said cause for the random unprovoked attack she suffered a couple of weeks back. Leona recently made an appearance on the X Factor’s results show this past weekend. Given the things she’s recently gone through, you can’t even tell that something went wrong in Leona’s life. She’s still as spectacular as ever. She shared the stage with the Black Eyed Peas.

The rapper has apparently posted some worrying messages on his twitter account lately, saying that he wants to die and asking if suicide is easy… really original there, Chipmunk! An official spokesperson of his stated the following about the artist: “Chipmunk has been working incredibly hard, which has taken its toll. Management have agreed to cancel all upcoming appearances to give him some much needed time off.” Well, if it’s work-stress, it’s a synch, but if he takes a vacation now, Chipmunk is never going to succeed in his plan and it will all just repeat itself over and over again. Perhaps management is to blame?

Rapper 50 Cent wants to star in a romantic comedy.

The hip-hop artist says he is considering trading his tough-guy image for a softer persona – by appearing in a feature film as a Hugh Grant-style role.

He said: “It would be interesting for people to see that side of me,” he says. “It would be a challenge, but I’ve seen artists like Ice Cube [who went from rap to acting] make the transition and challenge themselves.”

The In Da Club musician, real name Curtis Jackson, said: “It’s easier if a woman accepts you as a manly man.

“But a softer moment works, too, because then she’ll suddenly see you as a romantic.”
