As per updated reports released by coroners on Friday Rap mogul Dr. Dre’s namesake son died from an overdose of heroin and morphine, according to updated coroners reports released.
Andre Young Jr. died at the age of twenty in August of 2008. Preliminary reports suggested that the reasons behind his death were from unknown causes. But further and detailed investigations have now brought the truth out in the open and the Los Angeles County’s Coroner revealed that his passing has been ruled “an accident due to morphine and heroin intoxication.”
Frankly these are never going to learn from others’ mistakes, the children of these super rich people find $500 for a gram or pinch of heroin very cool and that’s basically the attitude that has brought about these situations.
I bet ya guys that if heroin and morphine were selling for a dollar per ten grams no one, really no one would ever touch and it would be in the category of 3rd world users stuff.
If it would be that cheap then these rich people would compare it to cigarettes made of tobacco leaves and would dump the thing completely. Merely a wish I know will not happen.
A rep of Soulja Boy has come out and confirmed reports which were doing the rounds that the rapper was assaulted by unknown men earlier this week. The star singer - real name DeAndre Ramone Way who was at his home in Georgia and was accompanied by several of his friends and all of them were robbed at gunpoint by 6 men.
But no one was ready to confirm or deny the same from Soulja Boy’s representatives which heightened speculation. Then astonishingly 2 masked men posted a video online wherein the accepted the responsibility for the crime. They also boasted of stalking the star at a release party for his new album iSouljaBoyTellem before following him home.
Well these things happen but if it happened to a person who couldn’t afford some sort of security then its what usually happens every where in the world what baffles me is who these people enter homes of a celebrity with such ease no security guards or any device asking for a code to open the entrance door or something like that.
If that’s really the case then they are allowing themselves to be easy prey for such thieves.
Five people were injured recently in an early morning shootout after a Denver rap concert. Like that hasn’t happened before. The incident took place just outside the Vinyl nightclub in downtown Denver, after rapper E-40 finished his performance. According to the Denver Post, there is one person in critical condition with the other four got treated and released from the scene. It seems that the venue is a magnet for trouble. Two years ago, Denver Bronces cornerback Darrent Williams was killed in a drive-by shooting across the street from Vinyl. So I guess, there’s really no connection to E-40. He should hope the same.
Mary J. Blige, Jay-Z and several other people are getting sued by a couple of Jersey guys saying that the artists ripped off their tune. Jermaine Jumpp and Michael C. Adams claim in a federal lawsuit that they handed a CD to the office of producer Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins with the song ‘On My Grind’. Four years later, Mary J recorded ‘Enough Cryin’, produced by Darkchild, and the guys say that it sounds too much like their song that they shipped over to the producer. It’s unclear from the lawsuit just what Jay-Z’s roll in all this was. Maybe he was included just for fun. Right.
Rapper 50 Cent’s own reality TV show hosted by MTV called 50 Cent: The Money And The Power has been shelved by MTV after continuously receiving poor ratings.
This show is about rapper 50 Cents attempt to find the next hip-hop mogul from a group of fourteen wannabes, where the winner would be given prize money of $100,000. The sum will feature as an investment from 50 Cent and he will help the winner of the show to start their own business venture.
But from the time it debuted on TV on November 6th, 2008 the show completely failed to kick off and viewers weren’t forthcoming either and almost after one & half months after going on air the network has now decided to scrap the flailing show.
Yeah I somewhat agree with this, I too tried to get into it, mainly because it was aired on my B’Day, but it really didn’t stick. 50 did not leave anything to the others’ and as usual played the show as if he was some kinda mafia boss. 50, you’re not the really tough guy; you’re a snitch and poor dumb yoyo. It’s been a great year for TI but we all know that he can’t run away from having to face jail time in 2009 for those pesky gun charges. That thought should at least have him partying this New Years Eve because it might be a while before he gets to party again. Producer Michael Satsky has the rapper performing on NYE at The Gansevoort South Beach Hotel. It’s just too bad that he has to pay for those gun charges now when his life is getting better. He’s had a good year when it comes to his music and he’s also going good in his personal life as he’s been surrounding himself by actresses like Chloe Sevigny instead of machine guns these days.
Rihanna is going to be ringing in the new year with a compilation of remixes from her double platinum album ‘Good Girl Gone Bad: Reloaded’. The album is set to drop in stores on January 27th and will contain 12 tracks, 2 of which are remixes of her very popular hit ‘Umbrella’. Like I said, the 20-year old Barbadian babe can probably never do any wrong. She’s really just milking it while everybody still wants the cow. But how many times can one song be remixed or covered anyway until we finally get tired? Oh well, I still can’t wait to hear it.
Diddy filmed his part playing defense attorney Derek Powell last week for an episode of CSI: Miami that will air in February 2009. Diddy told People just how he came about the role when he talked with CBS execs. He said “I don’t want to play no musician, I don’t want to play a criminal. None of those stereotypical things. I want to play a lawyer.” The entertainment mogul also said that he was thrilld to be on one of the biggest shows in the world. Diddy said “The ‘CSI: Miami’ team is like the Yankees. Me coming on the set, I’m like a Little League player with the Yankees. [David Caruso], he’s like Obi-Wan Kenobi or something! He taught me so much and let me ask questions and protected me. He’s like the coach of the team.”

As it was reported earlier this month, Akon’s court date with a Fishkill Town Justice Court had been postponed til recently. The singer’s assault trial came as a result of a June 2007 concert when he threw a 15-year old concert goer off of the stage. Akon has pleaded guilty to second degree harassment. He ended up having to pay a $250 fee and was also sentenced to 65 hours of community service. Talk about getting off easy. He should have at least been feed for the poor kid’s hospital fees and the family’s legal fees. What possesses someone to throw a guy off stage anyway?
The Human Beat Box, Mr. Doug E. Fresh, is facing not one, not two, but an amazing three foreclosure on his homes in Harlem, where he owes more than a cool $3.5 million in unpaid mortgages. American Express is also on the rapper for an incredible credit card debt of $60,000 and the IRS is also on him for more than $400,000 in taxes. Ouch! That has to hurt. He better start hustling in his Doug E. Chicken and Waffles restaurant which is scheduled to open next month in Harlem. He should also start praying that it would bring the money in.

The 27-year old singer recently did a Britney Spears as weel when she made a guest performance on the British show X-Factor. Beyonce performed the song ‘Listen’ as a duet with Alexandra Burke. If you were able to catch the show, you should also know that Alexandra was eventually crowned the winner of the show. Even if you didn’t catch it, you should know that she would win anyway. Who loses after performing with Beyonce anyway?
Rihanna has reportedly been asked by Nicole Richie to help her launch her solo music career. The reality star was previously part of a rock band called Darling back in 2004. Kelly Osbourne, the daughter of Black Sabbath Rocker Ozzy Osbourne, has also reportedly been asked to consult. According to a Daily News source “Rihanna and Kelly are coaching Nicole and giving her tips on how to perform.” If it is true, it may just be a hot product. Everything Rihanna touches is pretty much gold anyway and Kelly’s a pretty good performer too. Nicole has got some pretty amazing people vying for her.
Any reason why he said that? No Line On The Horizon, the new studio album from U2, will be released in North America on Tuesday, March 3, 2009.
Written and recorded in various locations, No Line On The Horizon is the group’s 12th studio album and is their first release since the nine million selling album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, released in late 2004.
Sessions for No Line On The Horizon began last year in Fez, Morocco, and continued in the band’s own studio in Dublin, before moving to New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios. It was completed at Olympic Studios in London.
The album calls on the production talents of long-time collaborators Brian Eno and Danny Lanois, with additional production by Steve Lillywhite.
50 Cent used to wear sliver and platinum chains till recently but 50 Cent now has kind of (temporarily or permanently it is not known) shifted his style from thug to dapper lately. Gone are the heavy chains and rugged looks and now we have tailored suits.

I guess it was still too early as Jennifer Hudson has pulled out of plans to film a new music video this week. The Oscar winner, who is still grieving, is not yet ready to get back to her work routine after the tragic slaying of three of her beloved family members. A source said “The video was set up before the tragedy and she felt like she should finish what she started, but she’s realized that she’s not ready to go back to work. It’s too early.” Send some positive energy and thoughts her way and hope that it helps. If justice can be served soon, then she can fully move on.
Rihanna and Chris Brown rocked it out on stage during Z100’s Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden in New York City this past Friday night. 19-year Chris recently spoke about making a couple of guest spots on other artists’ albums saying “I did (a song titled “Human”) with Tim McGraw. I also did a song with the Japanese group called the Teriyaki Boys out of (producer/performer) Pharrell’s camp!” Is there anything that boy can’t do? He’s turning into a mini music mogul!
The pair who pleaded guilty to offering Amy Winehouse some drugs for purchase were sentenced by a British judge this past Friday. 34-year old Johnny Blagrove was given a two year jail sentence while his cohort and girlfriend, 22-year old Cara Burton was given two years of community service. Well, we know who got off easy on that one. These two were aslo responsible for the not so flattering footage of Wino doing a bunch of drugs, wandering around in her crack den and trying to find her pet cat. Of course, the video was then sold to The Sun.
In comparison to the sales of his previous albums, Kanye West’s latest is release is anything but up to par. But if you need to have a good laugh, you need to read his recent blog post about his new album. He pretty much just builds up his own hype. Here’s a snippet: “I’M GONNA WALK THIS ALBUM SLOW LIKE A MORE INDEPENDENT APPROACH. I FEEL LIKE A NEW ARTIST. THERE’S ACTUALLY ARGUMENTS AGAIN. It seems like the environment has found itself a new champion in the form of music man Pharrell Williams. According to WWD, the music entertainer has entered into a partnership with Bionic Yarn, a company that produces premium yarns and fabrics using recycled plastic bottles. Pharrell is a part owner of the company, investor and spokes person. Well that’s cool. I guess PETA has one less person to worry about. It’s funny though. I never thought of Pharrell as an environmentalist. It’s great to know that he cares. We all know that a lot of people need to start caring too.
Brandy was once tapped to be this generation’s Whitney Houston. However, after a couple of wrong turns in the road of life, it seemed that it was never going to happen. Well, the singer is back with a new album and a new sense of confidence. She recently said “I love Rihanna’s style and I’ve always loved Beyonce’s style, but my style is class and simple and fashion forward.” Did I say confidence? I meant arrogance. Just because you have a new album doesn’t mean you will be welcomed back nicely. Now is not the time to think too highly of yourself. You haven’t proven anything yet.
It looks like singer MIA will be staying true to her name as she won’t be making an appearance at the Grammy’s. The Record of the Year Grammy nominee recently revealed that her baby is due on the night of the awards ceremony, February 8th. Talk about a crazy coincidence. I think it would be awesome if she gets to deliver her first born child and grab a huge Grammy win on the same night. There’s much more for her to celebrate. It would have been great if she was able to perform and attend her first Grammy’s though. Health first though.
Sometimes things just have the way of being ironic. 50 Cent tried to not get spotted by the paparazzi but the opposite happened when someone locked the keys inside the Rolls Royce that he drove to his hotel in London. Thankfully, he had an escape artist in his security on hand. The rapper’s security team then proceeded to try and get the door opened with a wire coat hanger. Things got worse after that as a parking attendant gave them a ticket for leaving the car outside the hotel. 50 is currently in London to star in a new film called ‘Dead Man Running’ which is set to be released next year.

DMX finds himself in trouble again as a warrant is out for his arrest. The rapper just failed to appear in a court in Arizona to face drug, identity theft and animal cruelty charges. The cash bond of $120,000 is even harsher than the charges. It would have been cheaper to just show up in court. It is rumored that DMX is actually in rehab but that’s still no excuse for the no show. If he doesn’t pay up the 120 grand, he’s going to jail for sure. I think he should stay there actually. It would be less work for everyone involved.
